• Chalcedony is cryptocrystalline quartz and moganite, lightly colored

• Jasper is opaque cryptocrystalline quartz, typically red to brown

• Carnelian is translucent reddish-orange chalcedony

• Brass = alloy of 65% copper and 35% zinc, used for musical instruments because of its acoustic properties.

• Rhodium = rare, silvery white, member of platinum group. Often used as a “polish” on gold and silver to improve optical impression and tarnish resistance. 10x more expensive than gold!
