It only seems like 5 minutes ago we were starting the new season and looking forward to another successful time on and off the field. I would like to thank you all for your continued support for the Academy and by now I am sure we have spoken to you all regarding your renewals and packages for this season. Please get in touch if you still have anything you would like to discuss and I will organise a meeting when we can get together. I would also like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and New Year and look forward to meeting up with you soon. Paul Curtis – Farnham Leisure A quick note to inform you about a very generous gesture from Paul Curtis at Farnham Leisure. Paul is the main team sponsor for the Academy U13s and he has decided to purchase additional Adidas Wet Tops for all of the squad as part of his sponsorship. Here he is with Jason Dozzell and John Coupe and a couple of the U13 Players after he handed them out at the Training Ground last Saturday. Farnham Leisure is situated on the A12 in Farnham and if you are in the market for a Caravan..... Paul is your man. Please visit www.farnhamleisure.co.uk The gesture was very much appreciated – Many Thanks Paul. I’m a Celebrity............... Kieron Dyer came 4th in this year’s I’m a Celebrity get me out of here! I watched the programme religiously while it was on and thought he came across very well in so many different situations. He was always prepared to take on any challenge and gave his best whatever they threw at him...Spiders, cockroaches, rats and even Ostriches!!!! He also showed many personal qualities when trying to diffuse confrontational situations and supporting other celebrities when they needed help. Sometimes footballers are labelled unfavourably in the public eye and the media but during his time in the jungle Kieron showed he is a bright young man with excellent manners and morals. Plus he donated his whole appearance fee to the Jude Brady Foundation in Ipswich which has highlighted the local and national awareness for the Charity. I was very proud of my friend and thought he should have won! (Well I would wouldn’t I!)

Very Proud Award Winner........

I am delighted to announce I won the prestigious Football For Good Player Impact Award for 2015. After being nominated by the Club I was shortlisted along with Alan Shearer, Jamie Carragher and Dan Bentley (Goalkeeper at Southend Utd). To win in such salubrious company was a testament to the hard work put in by everyone who decided to get on their bike and join my Cycle trip this year. The award was in recognition for leading my team of 67 Cyclists from London To Amsterdam in 2015 and raising £140,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and the ITFC Academy. I am sure you will remember the challenge from last year

and this award is for every team member and the generous people who sponsored us along the way.The award was presented at “Coaching For Hope’s” inaugural awards evening at Old Billingsgate Vaults in London. The Ipswich Town table was full of Sponsors and cyclists and the tables response when my name was announced was something I will never forget.

Now we are moving on to this year’s cycling event and it is going to be bigger and better than ever. I am targeting a team of 100 cyclists this year and we will be celebrating the 1981 UEFA Cup win on its 35th Anniversary. Please check this link if you would like to get involved and join #teamitfc and Terry Butcher on this brilliant challenge and fundraising event. http://www.expeditionwise.com/index.php/ipswich-uefa-cup-ride-pcuk-ch412i

It would be great to welcome you in our team and help raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and the ITFC Academy. For more information please email [email protected] and we will follow up with full details.
