Job Role a) Facilitate, direct and support Voluntary Community Faith Alliance (VCFA) members by providing and sharing information ensuring the sector is informed of relevant developments, changes, information, strategies and policies. b) Support Voluntary Community and Faith (VCF) organisations to connect with, collaborate and support one another. c) Support VCF organisations to remain in connection and receive communication from and with the wider public sector (Bury Council / Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) / Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) / police / fire and Government etc). d) Ensure that relevant information dissemination from the public sector to the VCF sector groups and organisations. e) Ensure any issues, concerns and ideas from the VCF sector are fed back to public sector and other partners including the business sector. 2. 1. Job Rolea) Facilitate, direct and support Voluntary Community Faith Alliance (VCFA) members by

providing and sharing information ensuring the sector is informed of relevant developments, changes, information, strategies and policies.

b) Support Voluntary Community and Faith (VCF) organisations to connect with, collaborate and support one another.

e) Collate and disseminate information from VCF reps from strategic partnerships, meetings and networks to the wider sector and make it available online

f) Promote mutual understanding between public and VCF sectors. Generating innovation and creative resolutions to challenges and service delivery.

g) Ensure effective communication channels and mechanisms between the sectors with a continuous dialogue.

h) Collate and disseminate relevant information from national, regional and local developments, to the VCF sector.

j) work in collaboration with stakeholders from Bury Council, Bury CCG, GMCA, public sector and the wider VCF sector.

k) Act as conduit for communication between Bury Council, Bury CCG, GMCA, public sector partners and VCF.

l) Keep abreast of funding and tendering opportunities and disseminate the information to the VCF sector.

m) Maximise VCFA newsletter, website and Social Media to disseminate information and provide feedback and collate responses

n) Undertake consultation and engagement exercises with the VCF sector, for or to the VCFA, Bury Council, GMCA and other wider public sector partners.

o) Contribute to and influence the development, promotion and implementation of the VCFA initiatives, work and strategic plans

p) To recognise the political and cultural sensitivities when working in this area of work

q) Employ effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills to achieve change with stakeholders at all levels

3. Othersa) Support the development of VCFA

d) Recruit, manage & support volunteers to support the role of networks and partnerships

4. General Requirementsa) Participate in training and information briefings and maintain an up to date knowledge of

the VCF sector.

b) Attend supervision sessions and staff meetings.

c) Assist management and preparing quarterly monitoring reports outlining progress of the work, bids submitted; funding secured and key issues raised by members.

d) Carry out occasional other duties as agreed within supervision to develop the aims of VCFA.

e) To undertake any other duties as prescribed by the Chair/Chief Officer.

f) Undertake such personal training as may be required to keep up to date and fulfil the professional requirements identified for this job description.

g) To have a collaborative and flexible approach to work undertaken by VCFA.

h) Contribute to the development of VCFA

6. Experience of working at a strategic level including service delivery, tendering and contracting.
