    Quickoffice for Android

    Overview of Quickoffice Pro for Android ACCESS, VIEW, EDIT, SHARE. Quickoffice Pro is the FIRST and ONLY fullfeatured Microsoft Office

    productivity suite for Android devices with integrated access to multiple cloud services. Quickoffice Pro is integrated with Quickoffice Connect services, allowing users to easily access, view and share files from multiple cloud storage services, including MobileMe, Dropbox, Google Docs, Huddle, SugarSync, and Box.net. Quickoffice further allows you to share content with popular services such as Facebook, Twitter, Scribd to name a few. Within a single application, you can conveniently access content from anywhere, edit that content, and save it back to your cloud storage or social service.

    General Features

    Localized for International Users Quickoffice for Android OS is localized for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish languages.

    Email Attachments Now you can edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that are received as attachments on your Android device

    Automatically Check for Updates Quickoffice allows you to check for updates, so that you always have the latest features at your fingertips. Press Updates from the menu in Quickoffice to check for updates.

    Register your Application You may register your application from your device to stay current with the latest updates, features and services available to you. To register, tap on the menu tab from the Quickoffice home screen and choose Registration . You will need an active connection to register.

    View Information about Quickoffice Press the Menu button and tap About to view information about Quickoffice, such as the version number. You can also select the Info button from the toolbar within the file manager or any document and select About .

    Quickoffice Launcher Screen

    Overview Quickoffice has designed a launcher screen to make it easier for users to manage their documents and get important

    information about Quickoffice for Android. The following

    sections will outline how to get the most out of Quickoffice by using the new launcher screen.

    Separate File Type Icons Quickoffice now supports file management based on the type of document you are trying to use. Simply click on the

    appropriate icon for the file type you are trying to use and the

    file manager will display only that file type. For example, click on the Quickword icon if you are trying to find a word document. The file manager will only display word documents,

    making it easier to locate the document you wish to find.

    Additionally, searching for a document within a file specific file manager will only display results for the respective application.

    If you are unsure of what file type you wish to locate, you can browse all file types quickly and easily by pressing the Browse icon.

    Add New Remote Accounts Icon The Accounts icon provides a quick way to add new remote storage account access to Quickoffice. For more information on how to add and work with remote storage accounts, see the section below titled

    Access and Share Services.

    Search Icon The Search icon provides a way to search for files based on part of the file name or file extension. Using

    the search feature from the launcher screen will search all file types across all local and remote storage.

    To search for a specific document type (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), press the appropriate application icon from the launcher screen before performing a search.

    For more information on searching for files, see the section below titled Find Files.

    Update Icon The Update icon simply provides a way to check for product updates from the launcher screen. Tapping the icon will automatically check for updates.

    The Quickoffice File Manager

    Supported File Types Quickoffice will list any files without any restriction. However, only the following file types can be

    viewed or edited in Quickoffice: Microsoft Word: .DOC, .DOCX, .DOCM, .DOT, .DOTX, .DOTM Microsoft Excel: .XLS, .XLSX, .XLSM, .XLA, .XLAM, .XLT, .XLTM, .XLTX Microsoft PowerPoint: .PPT, .PP TX, .POT, .POTX, .POTM, .PPTM, .PPSX, .PPSM Adobe Acrobat: .PDF (Acrobat 5 9) ASCII and Unicode Text: .TXT

    Files that are supported by other applications will be displayed and opened in their respective applications. The following media files are supported by the Android Viewer and may be opened from the Quickoffice file manager:

    Images: .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, and .GIF Audio: .MP3

    Create New Files You can create documents by tapping the respective file icon from the launcher screen. For example, if you wish to create a new Word document you can do so by clicking the Quickword icon from the launcher screen. You will be taken to the Quickword file manager where you can then tap Create New Document . You will be prompted as to whether you would like to create a Word 2010 Document, Word 2007 Document or Word 972003 document.

    You may also create a new document within the file manager by pressing the icon on the file manager toolbar.

    At this time, you can create Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.

    Viewing Files Quickoffice allows you to view files on your memory card and also allows you to open documents that have been recently viewed in the application.

    Note: Remote cloud storage accounts will display once youve added those accounts, and you will be able to view files stored in those locations, as well.

    Opening Files A progress bar will display at the top of the screen as a file is being opened.

    If you are already viewing a document, you can open another document from within the application. Press the Menu button to bring up the toolbar and then tap the File icon. Now, tap the Open icon. The Quickoffice home screen will be displayed where you may navigate to any folder on your SD card, in Recent Documents , or in any of the available cloud storage locations to open another file.

    Managing Files and Folders You can manage files and folders in Quickoffice Pro. To manage one or more files, first tap on the checkbox next to the file(s) you wish to manage. You will be given the options to Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Rename, Compress, Sort, Send or Share your file(s). The corresponding buttons are shown below. Tap on the appropriate icon to manage your file(s).

    Alternatively, longtap on a file or folder to bring up the file management menu, and then choose Select ,

    Rename , Delete , Copy , Cut , Send , or Properties . To create a new folder, tap the icon in the toolbar. You will be given a dialog where you can enter the new folders name. Enter the name and press Create.

    Browse ZIP Files as Folders You can browse the contents of ZIP files:

    Any changes you make to a file within a ZIP file will need to be saved outside of that file, as changes cannot be made to files inside ZIP folders and files cannot be added to ZIP folders.

    Sort Files

    In the file manager, choose from the toolbar and press Sort by to sort your files in ascending or

    descending order by name, type, size or date modified.

    View and Open Recent Documents The file manager in Quickoffice stores the latest files that you opened in a Recent Documents folder. You may access the files you most recently opened in Quickoffice from this location.

    Find Files Quickoffice has the ability to search for files from the newly designed launcher screen. Simply press the Search button from the main launcher screen to bring up the Search dialog at the top of your screen.

    Alternatively, within the file manager press the button . A Search dialog will appear on the screen. If your device has a hardware Search button, you may also use this to bring up the search dialog.

    Enter text using your keypad or the on screen keyboard, and press the magnifying glass icon to the right of the search field to begin your search. Quickoffice will return all files that contain the search term in their filenames.

    In the above screenshot, you can see the results of the search term ACME returned.

    Note : The search feature is not supported for Google docs, Dropbox, Box.net, Evernote, Catch, iDisk

    Downloading Email Attachments When you receive an email attachment in one of the supported file formats, press Open on the Attachment button and the file will be opened in Quickoffice.

    Access and Share Services

    Overview Quickoffice Connect allows users to easily access, view and share files from multiple cloud storage

    services, including MobileMe, Dropbox, Google Docs, Huddle, SugarSync, and Box.net. From a single, convenient application, you can access content from anywhere, manage content ondevice and share files via email or your cloud service provider.

    Requirements In order to use the Connect service, you must set up an account with the supported cloud storage service or services you wish to use. The Quickoffice application uses your signin information only to connect to your service. Your signin information is only stored in the Quickoffice application on your device it is not collected or stored on our servers.

    Add, Edit or Delete a remote account

    Add an account

    Go to the Quickoffice home screen and press the button. Alternatively, you may press the button from the file manager toolbar. Select desired account from the list of available services, enter the email address and password you used when you signed up for your Box.net account in the account details screen, and press OK.

    Press the Learn More about Box.net link below the OK and Cancel buttons to go to the Box.net home page to sign up for an account and view resources and information about the service.

    Connect to multiple accounts

    To add multiple accounts, simply repeat the steps from adding a cloud storage account . All of your accounts will be listed on the Quickoffice home screen.

    Rename your account

    If the password for your Box.net account has changed, you will need to enter your new password in Quickoffice. From the home screen of the Quickoffice file manager, longpress the Box.net

    item in the file manager and choose Edit from the menu.

    Your Box.net account information will appear and you can change your password.

    Delete an account Long press on the account in the file manager will display a dialog with Edit and Delete options. Press the Delete option to delete the account. You will see a warning message. Press on OK to continue the deletion process.

    Supported Remote Accounts

    Box.net Box.net is a webbased service for accessing and sharing content from anywhere. Through Box.nets

By providing a platformindependent application with cloud sharing and syncing of files, users can store and access their files from anywhere on any platform and share files with others.     Google Docs Google Docs is a service provided by Google that allows you to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations online, share and collaborate in real time, store and organize your work and control access to your documents. Quickoffice Pro takes advantage of the file storage and organizational services to provide users with centralized storage for all kinds of files. For more information, visit: www.docs.google.com

    MobileMe MobileMe is a service provided by Apple that allows you to keep your email, calendar and contacts in sync. You can access and manage your email, contacts, calendar, photos, and files at me.com. Additionally, MobileMe features iDisk that allows you to store, access and share files online.     About iDisk iDisk, a MobileMe feature, is an online storage repository accessible via a web browser at me.com, Finder on Mac OS X, or as a remote disk in Microsoft Windows. With MobileMe iDisk, it's easy to store, access, and share files online. You have plenty of storage space even large files are no problem. Just add the files you need to your iDisk, and whatever you upload will be there for you to download using a web browser on any computer.     NOTE: Your MobileMe Member Name is not an email address. Other services use your email address, but MobileMe uses a unique member name.

    Huddle

    SugarSync

    SugarSync is a cloud based service allowing users to sync, backup, and share files. You can easily view or make changes to remote files and documents from a mobile device or computer by logging into the SugarSync website. All changes are synced back to your other computers.     Catch

    Catch is a cloud based service that make it simple to capture, organize and retrieve the ideas, experiences and data that are important to users.     Evernote is a cloud based service that provides users the ability to easily capture any moment, idea, inspiration, or experience whenever they want using whichever device or platform they find most convenient, and then to make all of that information easy to find.     Common Tasks in Access and Share Services

    Downloading files You can download one or more files in any connected service location and save them locally to your SD card for offline access. To do this, navigate to the folder where the files you wish to download are

    located, and then select them by clicking the checkbox icon ( ) to the right of each file you wish to

    download. Press the button from the file manager toolbar. This will add the selected documents to the clipboard. Navigate to the local folder where you wish to download the copied files and press the

    button from the file manager toolbar. The selected files will be pasted to the new location. Also follow these steps to upload files to remote storage locations.

    Creating a new folder When downloading files, you can choose a folder on your SD card where the downloaded files will be

    saved. To create a new folder, press the icon. The Create Folder dialog will appear and you can

    enter a folder name. Tap Create to create your new folder.

    Downloading a folder As with files, you can select folders, copy them, navigate to a storage location, and paste the folder or folders to download them to the memory card in your device.

    Viewing a locally saved file

    To view a locally saved file, simply select SD Card from the home screen and navigate to the desired file. Tap on the file to open it.

    Organizing Files

    Copying and pasting files and folders You can copy, paste, and rename folders on your Android device to organize files. To copy a folder,

    simply navigate to the folder, press the checkbox icon ( ) next to the file name and press the icon from the toolbar. To paste the folder in a different location, navigate to the desired location on

    your memory card or remote storage service and press .

    Moving files between folders To move a file to a different folder, navigate to the file you want to move, tap the checkbox icon ( )

    to the right of the file you wish to move and press from the file manager toolbar. Navigate to the

    location where you wish to move the file and press . A Move dialog will appear, showing a progress bar as the file is moved to the new location.

    Renaming a file To rename a file, longpress the file name in the file manager. The following menu will appear.

    Choose Rename from the menu to open the Rename To dialog.

    Enter the new file name and tap Rename to apply the new name to the file. Alternatively, you may tap

    the checkbox next to the file you wish to rename and tap the icon. You will be given the same dialog to rename your file.

    Deleting files and folders

    To delete a file or folder tap the checkbox icon ( ) to the right of the item you wish to delete and

    press the icon. The Delete dialog will appear. Tap OK to delete the file or Cancel to cancel the deletion. You may also longtap on a file name in the file manager and choose Delete from the menu. You will be asked to confirm the deletion.

    Uploading a file or folder to a remote storage location To upload a file or folder to a remote location, navigate to the file or folder you want to upload, tap the

    checkbox icon ( ) to the right of the name and press or . Navigate to the remote storage

    location where you wish to move the file or folder and press the icon. A Move dialog appears, showing a progress bar as the file or folder is moved to the new location.

    Uploading multiple files You may select multiple files and folder to copy and paste to any destination folder.

    Specifying a destination folder

    To specify a destination folder, use the Back button ( ) to navigate to the desired parent folder. Once you arrive in the parent folder, you can navigate to the destination folder by tapping on the folder icons

    in the file manager. In the destination folder, you may paste any files that you cut or copied from the source folder.

    Quickword

    Overview

    Quickoffice includes a .doc and .docxcompatible word processor. You can easily create new documents and edit documents created on your PC/Macintosh.

    Quickoffice has been developing Office applications for smartphones for the past 12 years. Quickoffice is the leading mobile office application and has been shipped on more than 400 million smartphones. Now, Quickoffice has brought its awardwinning wordprocessing application to the Google Android platform.

    Opening Documents

    Quickword can open Microsoft Word formatted documents, including .doc, .docx, .docm, .dot, .dotx and

    .dotm. TXT files may be opened and viewed in Quickoffice. Quickoffice now supports Microsoft Word 2010 along with previous versions of Microsoft Word.

    Viewing Documents

    Quickword provides users with several ways to view documents that optimize the use of the screen space on their devices. The following sections will show how you can view your documents to make the best use of the screen.

    Reflow View By default, Quickword displays your document in Reflow View, allowing the text to reflow to the size of the screen as you zoom in or out within your document. This eliminates the need for scrolling left and right in your document to read the text.

    To return to Reflow view from any of the other views, press the menu button on your device to bring up

    the Quickword toolbar. Press the icon to enter Page View mode. To return to reflow mode, press

    the menu button on your device to bring up the Quickword toolbar and select .

    Multi touch zoom If your device is running Android OS 2.0 (clair) or higher, Quickword makes use of the Multitouch feature, included in that operating system, to enable you to pinchzoom your documents.

    Page View To view a document in Page layout view, press the Menu button on your device to bring up the

    Quickword menu and tap .

    Fit to screen width in Page View

    When you

    You

    document to bring up the zoom controls or use the Multitouch feature (available on OS 2.0 and higher) to pinchzoom in your document in Page View. To fit the document to the screen width in Page View

    again, tap the Menu button on your device to bring up the Quickword toolbar and press .

    Editing in Page Layout View Quickoffice now supports editing in Page Layout View . Making changes in page layout view is identical to making changes in Reflow View.

    Page number indicator When viewing a document in Page View, tap on the document to bring up the page number indicator. This will display the current page number followed by a slash and the total number of pages in the document at the top right of the document.

    View and edit documents in portrait and landscape Quickword responds to the accelerometer in your Android device. Rotate the phone to landscape mode to use your QWERTY keyboard.

    Follow hyperlinks in your documents To follow a hyperlink in your document, enter Page View. Tap the hyperlinked text. The text will become highlighted, and your browser will launch, taking you to the URL.

    To return to your document, press the Back ( ) button.

    Find Text / Find and Replace Text You can search for text strings in your document using Quickword. Press the Menu button on your

    device to bring up the Quickword toolbar and press . A text entry field will appear at the top of your document. Enter the text you wish to search for and tap the search icon to the right of the text field. Quickword will highlight all instances of the text you are searching for.

    Tap the find next icon and find previous icon to search forward and backward through your document. When you are finished with your search, tap the Back button.

    You also have the option to find and replace text. From an active search, tap the icon to bring up the replace field. Enter the replacement text in this field. To replace a single instance of a word, press the Replace button. To replace all instances of a word, press the Replace All button.

    In the given example, Searched string was android and this string is to be replaced by modified Android string. There were 13 occurrences of android in the document and Toast message of 13 matches have been replaced indicates number of matches that have been replaced.

    Text to Speech

    Quickoffice now supports text to speech. Simply tap the icon in the Quickword toolbar to start text to speech. If no text is selection, text to speech will begin at the start of the document.

    To use text to speech on only part of the document, double tap the text and tap and drag the text

    selection pins to highlight the desired text. Press the icon in the context toolbar and your device will begin to convert the highlighted text to audible speech.

    Note: You may be required to download a free package from the Android Market to allow text to speech. Data rates may apply.

    Speech to Text Quickoffice new supports speech to text. To use speech to text, open the keyboard by single tapping the location you wish to enter text. You will

    see a microphone icon near the return key. When the dialog prompts you, speak into your devices microphone. When you are finished, the text will be added were the cursor is placed.

    Note: If you have text selected when you use the text to speech feature, the selected text will be replaced

    Web Lookup If you come across a word or phrase you would like to learn more about, you can use Quickoffices web lookup feature. First, select a word or phrase by double tapping and using the pin selectors. When you

    have selected the desired search terms, tap the icon in the context menu. Quickoffice will automatically launch a Google search for the terms in your browser.

    Simply tap your devices back button to return to Quickoffice.

    Flick scrolling You can flick scroll through your documents in Quickword, taking advantage of this native Android feature.

    Cut, Copy, & Paste Within/Across Documents and Apps Text can be cut, copied, or pasted within a document, from one document to another, or from Quickoffice to another application.

    To cut or copy a selection, double tap some text and move the text selection pins to highlight the desired text. The context toolbar will appear at the top

    of the page.

    Press the icon to cut the text or the icon to copy the text. Next, tap on the location in the document where you wish to paste the text.

    Finally, press the icon to paste the text.

    To set the alignment for a paragraph, tap once on any part of the paragraph you wish to align. To set alignment for multiple paragraphs, double tap the first paragraph and drag one of the pin selectors to the last paragraph in the range.

    Simply tap and drag the black text to the desired orientation to set the paragraph alignment. Alignment can be set to left, right, center, or justified. When you are finished, simply drag down the toolbox.

    Insert Bulleted Lists To insert bulleted lists, pull up the multiedit formatting toolbox using editing bar at the bottom and tap the Paragraph tab to bring up the paragraph editing toolbox .

    Tap on the icon to convert the selected paragraph to

    the bullet point. Tap on the icon to bring up the bullet type list. Tap on the desired bullet type to change the bulleted list type. Tap on the Back tab to return back to the paragraph alignment tab.

    (numeric, roman or alphabet), tap on the icon to bring up the numbered type list. Tap on the

    Insert outline numbered Lists To outline numbered lists, pull up the multiedit formatting toolbox using editing bar at the bottom and tap the Paragraph tab to bring up the paragraph multi editing toolbox . Tap the Paragraph tab to bring up the paragraph

    toolbox. Tap on the icon to bring up the outline

    numbered toolbar. Tap on the desired multi list pattern to change the outline number list type. Tap on the Back tab to return back to the paragraph alignment tab.

    Tap on icon on the Paragraph tab to move the selected text to one level towards right. Tap on

    icon on the Paragraph tab to move the selected text paragraph to one level towards left. Tapping on both these icon will change the bullet/numbered points based on the selected outline number type. When you are finished, simply drag down the toolbox.

    Rich text formatting With Quickword, you can format selected text in several ways. First, select the text you wish to format by double tapping and using the grab

    points to adjust the selection. If tool bar is active then press the icon to bring up the multiedit toolbox will appear. Alternatively, pull up the multiedit formatting toolbar by pulling up the bar at the bottom.

    Tap the Font tab to bring up the font formatting properties. Tap on the font name to modify the font type. Choose the desired font name from the list of displayed font types. Tap on the font size to increase or decrease the size of the font.

    You can add styles to text using the icons at the bottom of the toolbox.

    Press the icon to bold text, to italicize text, to underline text, or to strikethrough text,

    to superscript text and to subscript text.

    To format text color, tap on the Text ( ) icon to bring up the color formatting menu. To select the color from a predefined set of colors, tap on the Palette tab. You can also select custom colors by tapping on the Custom tab and selecting the color.

    To change the highlight color, select the Highlight ( ) icon. You will have the option to select the highlight color from a set of predefined colors in Palette.

    You can return back to the Font formatting screen by tapping Back tab. When you are finished, simply drag down the formatting toolbox.

    Inserting an Image in Quickword To insert an image, first select the location you wish to place the image by tapping once. Next, press the

    icon to bring up the insert image flyout menu. From this menu you can select to either insert an

    image from your devices gallery or take a new picture using your devices camera.

    To insert an image from your devices gallery, select Insert Image from Gallery . You will be taken to your devices photo gallery where you can select an image to insert by simply tapping on it.

    To insert a new photo, select Take Image with Camera . You will be taken to your devices camera. Take a photo as you normally would and select Done when you are finished. You will be taken to the Resize Image Dialog .

    Within the Insert Image Dialog , you will be given the options to change the size and rotation of the image. To change the size, press

    enter Page Layout Mode . To do this, press the button. Once in Page Layout Mode double tap on the image you wish to resize or rotate. You will see 5 circular grab points and 4 square grab points. Tap and drag the circular corner grab points to resize the image diagonally. Tap and drag one of the four square grab points to resize the image

    horizontally or vertically. Finally, tap and drag the grab point to rotate the image.

    Undo / Redo

    If you accidentally make an unwanted change, you can select from the Quickword toolbar. If you wish to redo a change, select the icon from the Quickword toolbar.

    Edit in Landscape Quickword responds to your device accelerometer when you rotate your device to landscape orientation, your documents are fullyeditable.

    Opening Spreadsheets Quicksheet can open any of the supported file formats for viewing and editing. Supported formats include .xls, .xlsm, .xla, .xlam, .xlt, .xltm, .xlsx and .xltx file formats. Any of these can be edited using Quicksheet.

    Creating Spreadsheets

    To create a new spreadsheet, press the icon from the file manager.

    The Create Document menu will appear, with options to create new Excel 2010 Workbook, Excel 2007 Workbook, Excel 97 2003 Workbook. Select the desired format for your Excel workbook. A new spreadsheet will open with the default name New Spreadsheet.xlsx or New Spreadsheet.xls, depending on your selection.

    Saving Spreadsheets

    To save a spreadsheet, press the Menu button to bring up the Quicksheet toolbar, tap to bring up the File flyout menu, and press Save . To save a spreadsheet with a different filename, follow the steps above and press Save as. A Save dialog will appear briefly, followed by the Save As screen.

    Formula Builder Quickoffices formula builder makes it easy to create formulas in spreadsheets. First, select the cell

    where you wish to insert your calculation. Tap on to bring up the formula builder. You can search

    for a specific formula by searching for it or by scrolling through a list of common functions. A short description will be shown below the selected formula.

    When you have selected the desired formula, tap OK to insert the formula. You can now tap on cells to reference them in the formula. When you are satisfied, tap on the green check mark to accept the formula.

    The downward arrow can be pressed to bring up a menu of some commonly used operators.

    Press OK to apply your number format settings. Press Cancel to return to your spreadsheet without applying any changes.

    Hide / Unhide rows and columns Select the rows or columns that you wish to hide or unhide using the selection pins.

    Merge / Split Cells To merge cells, first select the cells that you wish to merge. Pull up the multiedit toolbox using the toolbox stub and select the Cell tab to display cellformatting options. Tap on the

    Merge Cells option to merge the cells.

    If you select the cell that has already been merged, the Merge Cells option above will be replaced by Split Cells option. Tap on the split cells

    Adjust cell size Drag up the multiedit toolbox using the toolbox stub and tap on the Cell Tab to display cellformatting options. Tap on the Autofit option to automatically adjust the height or width of the cell. Alternatively,

    use to increase the height or width of the cell or use to decrease the height or width of the

    cell.

    Add, Delete, or Rename worksheets

    To add a worksheet, tap on the + icon to the right of the worksheet tabs. A new sheet will appear to the right of the current worksheets.

    To delete a worksheet, first select the worksheet you wish to delete by pressing its respective tab. Tap on the X icon to bring up a confirmation dialog. Tap on OK to delete the cell or Cancel to cancel the

    operation.

    To rename a worksheet, long tap on the worksheet tab you wish to rename. A Rename Sheet dialog will appear. Type in the new name of the worksheet and press OK.

    Undo / Redo If you wish to undo a change, press the Menu button on your device to bring up the Quicksheet toolbar.

    Press the icon to undo changes or the icon to redo changes. You can undo or redo multiple changes by repeating this process.

    Edit directly in landscape or portrait Quicksheet responds to your device accelerometer when you rotate your device to landscape or portrait orientation, your spreadsheets are fully editable. The multiedit toolbox is adjsuted to save content and space and additional controls such as formula bar and application title are hidden when toolbar is open.

    Quickpoint

    Overview Quickpoint is the Quickoffice presentation application for your Android device. Quickpoint supports.ppt,

    .pptx, and other PowerPoint file formats. Quickpoint is optimized for your Android device. This section will help you understand how Quickpoint works with presentations.

    Opening Presentations Quickpoint can open .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .pot, .pptm, .ppa, .ppam, .ppsm, .potx and .ppsx files on your device. To open a presentation, navigate to any location on your SD card, in Recent Documents, or on one of the cloud storage locations and tap on the presentation you wish to open. You may also open presentations that come in as email attachments.

    Viewing Presentations When a presentation is first opened, the presentation is displayed in Film Strip View, with slides

    displayed in

    a continuous

    strip,

    allowing

    you

    to

    scroll

    quickly

    through

    the

    presentation.

    press the icon or simply tap and drag the slide to the left. To move to the previous slide, press the

    Editing Presentations

    From this dialog, you can specify bold, italics, underline, font face, font size, and font color. When you are satisfied with the formatting options, press OK to accept changes or Cancel to revert back.

    Aligning Paragraphs You can arrange the paragraphs within the textbox using Paragraph tab in the multiedit toolbox. You can pull up the multi edit toolbox by dragging up the toolbox stub. Alternatively, press the Menu button on your device to

    Formatting Shapes You can change the fill color of the shapes using the

    Shape tab in the multiedit toolbox. Tap on to display custom and preselected palette of colors. Tap on the desired color to view the live preview of the changed background color of the shape.

    Insert New Slides

    To insert a new slide, press the icon at the end of the slide

    filmstrip to bring up the New Slide Templates. Tap on one of the predefined slide templates to insert it into your presentation. The new slide will be added after the currently selected slide. Alternatively, press the Menu button on your device to bring up the Quickpoint toolbar. Press the file icon to bring up the New Slide Templates .

    Tap on one of the predefined slide templates to insert it into your presentation. The new slide will be added after the currently selected slide.

    Delete Slides To delete a slide, tap on a slide on the filmstrip. The slide will be highlighted with a red background with

    icon at the top right corner of the slide. Tap on to delete the slide. A confirmation will be displayed. Press OK to delete the slide or Cancel to return to your presentation.

    Reorder Slides To reorder slides, simply tap and drag a slide from the filmstrip to the desired position in the slideshow.

    Viewing and Editing Presenter Notes Users can view and edit the presenter notes in the PowerPoint presentations. If the presentation indicates an edit icon along with the page number at the top of the slide, it indicates that the presentation contains presenter notes.

    Tap on the Presenter notes icon displayed on the top right to enter Notes View Mode. Screenshot on the left displays the presenter note. Tap on OK after editing the text in the area or Tap on the Cancel button to return to the normal view without making any changes to the notes.

    Insert Images To insert an image, press the Menu button on your device to bring up the Quickpoint toolbar and press

    the icon to bring up the insert image flyout menu. From this menu you can select to either insert an image from your devices gallery or take a new picture using your devices camera.

    To insert an image from your devices gallery, select Insert Image from Gallery . You will be taken to your devices photo gallery where you can select an image to insert by simply tapping on it.

    To insert a new photo, select Take Image with Camera . You will be taken to your devices camera. Take a photo as you normally would and select Done when you are finished.

    Insert Shapes and Text Boxes Quickpoint now supports the ability to insert auto shapes into your presentation. To insert an auto shape, press the Menu button on your device to pull up the Quickpoint toolbar if it is not already visible.

    Resizing, Moving, and Deleting Objects When you tap any shape, image or textbox, you will see multiple grab points. To resize the object, use the Resize grab point (Blue Dots). You can use Move grab point at the bottom of the image to move the object from one place to another on the slide. To delete the object, tap on the cross on the top right corner of the image.

    Note: Images have a locked aspect ratio. This means that it will only scale diagonally to preserve the image fidelity.

    QuickPDF

    Overview Quickoffice Pro for Android includes a premium PDF reader that enables users to view PDF files. Enjoy

    enhanced PDF viewing with faster rendering and singlecolumn text reflow capabilities for improved readability.

    Open PDF Files QuickPDF allows you to open almost any PDF file. To open a file, simply tap on the file in the Quickoffice file manager.

    If another PDF reader is present on your device, choose Quickoffice to open the PDF in QuickPDF.

    You may choose to use Quickoffice as the default PDF viewer.

    Open Password Protected and Encrypted Files When you open a password protected file, a dialog will be presented, allowing you to enter the password to open the file.

    Page View When you open a PDF in QuickPDF, the file opens in Page View. Use the up and down navigation keys to scroll through your PDF file. On Android 2.0 and above, Page View allows you to quickly flickscroll through pages, displaying a page indicator at the top right of the screen.

    Reading View QuickPDF provides an alternate view for PDF files, where text is reflowed on the screen to provide a better viewing experience, eliminating left and right scrolling for textheavy documents. To access this

    feature, press the Menu button and tap Reading View .

    Multi Touch Zooming and Flick Scrolling QuickPDF makes use of the Android OS 2.0 Multitouch feature to enable you to use two fingers to pinch zoom in or out on your PDF files. Flick scrolling is also supported for quick navigation of your PDF files. With continuous scroll, you can scroll through large documents smoothly without having to load pages.

    View in Portrait or Landscape QuickPDF responds to your device accelerometer when it is rotated to portrait or landscape mode. Your PDF file and the QuickPDF menus adjust to your device orientation.

    Find Text You can find text in your PDF files using QuickPDF. Press the Menu button, and tap Find or press the

    Search ( ) key on your device, and a text entry field will appear at the top of the device screen.

    Enter a word or phrase for which you want to search and press the next icon ( ).

    QuickPDF will highlight the first instance of the text in the PDF file.

    Other instances of the text string will appear with an outline around them.

    Press the next icon ( ) again to highlight the next instance of the text.

    Press the previous icon ( ) to move to the previous instance of the text.

    View Bookmarks You can view bookmarks in your PDF files using QuickPDF. Press the Menu button and tap Bookmarks . QuickPDF will display any bookmarks in your PDF file.

    Tap the icons to expand the sections, and tap the icons to contract expanded sections. Tap an entry to go to that section of the document.

    Go to Page You can go to any page in your PDF file. To do this, press the Menu button and tap Go To Page . The Go To Page dialog will appear. Enter the page number you wish to go to and press OK. Press Cancel to return to the current page.

    Rotate Document You can rotate your PDF documents on the screen. To do this, press the Menu button, tap More , then tap Rotate . The Rotate dialog will appear. Tap Rotate Left or Rotate Right to rotate your PDF in the desired direction.
