Questionnaire results
From my results I got a near even split of both female and male responses, with 9 males and
11 females. I surveyed a range of people, this means that my magazine should appeal to
both genders.
My results show that the magazine appeals to younger people. Between the ages of 16-25
(18 16-20 and 2 21-25)
As I have mainly sampled 16-0 year olds my results are bias towards the opinion of this age,
however once I have made my magazine I will be sure to get feedback from all my target
audience.

The results show that Kings of Leon is the preferred band from a given choice of 5 bands.
With this information I know it’s important to show more content from bands with a similar
style, rather than content from bands like Oasis who got the least amount of votes.
When asked, the majority of people claimed that they didn’t buy monthly magazines, this
means there is an opportunity to produce something that suites them more than what is
already being produced. It means there is a gap in the market that I should aim to fill.

When I asked people who they least liked out of the bands I have previously mentioned. This
time Kings of Leon didn’t get a single vote, once again showing that this type of music should
be a regular feature and yet again Oasis proved to be the least popular, show my magazine
should try to avoid these styles of band.
From these results it would be best to use a mixture of Red and Blue, and if required Green
can also feature from time to time in my magazine.

I then asked the question of ‘preferred female singer’ 7 people voted for Florence and the
Machine, whilst 13 voted for Paramore. This backs up what I analyzed about my previous
question, that American Rock seems to be preferred. Although, unlike the last question this
one was a lot more evenly split. So my magazine might be best suited feature both female
styled singers.
My results show that the most popular eras were the 00’s followed by the 90’s. So modern
rock will be the best option for my magazine, I would also place bands from the present day
and rising bands.

From these results I can see it’s a very even split between all three options, so my magazine must
include a list of up coming bands along with information on tour dates for established bands and
monthly prizes
With this information I can see that it’s generally mixed so I could include all kinds of bands
and singers.

music magazine for you?
What is the most important part of a
song for you?
More of my readers would like to learn the guitar over the drums, but at the same time a
large percentage chose drums. Knowing this my magazine should feature information on
learning these instruments, along with people and places to contact on lessons and other
things.
These results tell me that the general audience prefer drums than guitars, so I could add
information about drummers, types of drums and interviews with drummers from bands.
