Question 7:Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have

learnt in the progression from it to your final product?

Page 2: Question 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• During the preliminary task we were finding out about the many different shot types and how they could be used. As this was learning it wasn't the best.

• The preliminary and final production allowed me to practice and develop my skills, with the Mac and the different software's.

• With my final piece I was able to used more shots like, cross-cut convergence and fast editing.

• In comparison my finial product holds a lot more variety of shots. Through different angles and editing the 2 minutes rounded up well. Where as with the preliminary task these fast shots weren't included because I wasn't that confident with the camera.

• Shot-reverse-shot wasn’t used in my finial piece as I wanted to focus more on the plot and tension. I relied heavily upon sound and mise-en-scene to set the film. If I were to extend the film – this would be included

• Planning out and researching for my finial product was one of the main things that lead to production, without the amount of planning I did it would have taken longer to construct and wouldn't be up to the same quality.

• As I was more confident and work on my own I felt much more comfortable with my own ideas – I had a clear vision and was able to make it without any other opinions or ideas.

• Sound and mise-en scene is something that I incorporated better than in the preliminary. I had to make sure props were realistic to fit within the scene.

• Where as in the preliminary we had to work with our surroundings.

• I worked hard to make all the mise-en-scene continuous in my final production – like the clothing Frank wears, the lighting and time of day.
