My first attempt at a media magazine..

Conventions • This draft is not very conventional as background image is not

typical of a school magazine• Very little cover lines

Image and mise-en-scene• school uniform is featured in the image • Poor image quality • The background isn’t as usually seen in magazines• Poor lighting

Image editing • The image has had no editing

Layout and fonts • The layout is very plain and not aesthetically pleasing • The route of the eye is used

• The font used is easy to read • No variety used on font style

Colours and mode of address• The colours used are very plain and simple • The mode of address is formal

The first draft of the layout for a contents page..

Conventions – This layout is a basic draft layout and is conventional for a contents page of any magazine Image – I have only included one image on this page, but after looking through a variety of magazine genres I have discovered that typically a contents page contains a variety of different sized images.

There’s no indication of fonts, colour or any other design making the draft look plain and unhelpful
