What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Different technologies I have used throughout this project.

SurveyMonkey was new to me but I now know how useful it can be as we used it to create a questionnaire to conduct our audience research, it gave us very clear results and it was a good way to get feedback. As this was the first time I was using it I found it very easy to create our questions and to find our results. I will definitely use it again if I need to get a public view on something.

Tumblr is quite a familiar technology to me as I have used it previously but I have never used it in this way. It has been very useful in that it is where my whole portfolio of work is uploaded publicly for anyone to see. It is very helpful and I now have the ability to embed codes to upload pieces of work from YouTube or even Prezi. I will carry on using Tumblr.

I have previously used Prezi but never to this extent. It is an online presentation software and it is very useful for creating fun and interactive public presentations. It is very easy to use and I really like how the finished products look. While doing this project I have used Prezi quite a few times now as I have used to it answer a couple of my evaluation questions. After creating them it was very easy to upload them and share them on different social media platforms for example I have shared them trough Tumblr.

PremierPro was new to me and my group but since we used it to create our preliminary task we found it a lot easier to use for this main task. For some parts of the production we found it quite difficult but after doing research and watching countless tutorials we soon go the hang of things. This was a very good program to use for this project. Seeing as we know the basics now I think we will definitely use it again in the future to create more videos.

Before this project I had never used Slideshare before and after using it a few times I quickly got the hang of it as it was very easy to use. It is also very useful for uploading different files onto my blog (this is what I mainly use it for) for example I have used Slideshare to upload word documents instead of doing a simple blog post. By the end of this project I would have used it again to upload more of my evaluation. It is a very useful sharing platform which I will be using again.

YouTube, as a teenager YouTube is one of the websites that I use almost everyday, it is one of the most popular video streaming networks around. I have used it for years but up until now I have never uploaded anything to it so I did have to learn how to do that but it was very easy. After uploading our main task video we simply put the link on our Tumblr blogs. Now I know how to upload videos I think I will definitely be using it again for that purpose and not just to watch things on.

I have learnt new transferrable skills including how to upload videos to YouTube, how to embed codes on Tumblr.
