How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

Colour theme. With all of my products I made sure that they had

specific features in all three of my products so they were all linked together. One main feature that links all the products together is the colour scheme. On all of my products the colour scheme is black and white.

This will help the audience make a connection and focus on my products more easily because the

themes are all the same. These products stand out from others that are on the market because there are not many black and white products out in the market at the moment. On all of my products there is mainly

white and red font. There is also black font on the poster. The colour scheme of the font is typical horror

colours, the red can represent danger and blood while the black can represent dark and evil. My

magazine cover has a variety of colours to draw the audience in. The variety of colours also make the

magazine look more professional and make the cover look more appealing. The bright colours that I used on my magazine cover were also used on my ident.

This meant that colour theme worked effectively together.

Font.

Another factor that links more products together is the fonts. On my

poster and the end of my trailer I have added the ALONE title. This is the style of my font and its crucial

that my audience recognises this title so they can relate all of my products together. The font which the credits

on the poster is written is also matches some of the fonts on the magazine. Again I did this so the

audience could relate better with all of the products. I have also used the same font style with the actors name

in all of my ancillary texts. This meant that the font style worked

effectively together.

Costume in picture. The actor is in the same costume in every product. In the trailer we can see why the character is dressed in the costume she is in. This will help the audience identify the

film and relate to all of the products together. The picture on the magazine is

the character looking at the camera. This will draw the audience when it is on the

shelf. We can also see what the character is wearing which is important for the audience to see because it will help them relate all of

the products together. The poster also shows what the character is wearing. Again

this will help them relate to all of the products. The costumes also keeps the theme throughout the product and the audience will recognise that all these

products go together.
