NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES

When completing my a2 media coursework blog, I used a wide variety

Of NEW MEDIA mediums, such as Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut,

Sony Vegas Pro 11, YouTube, Prezi, Weebly and a camera.

These technologies allowed me to further develop and enhance my

Magazine poster, front cover and horror trailer.

Without the use of new technologies, my trailer, poster and magazine

Would not have turned out the way it did. I also learned how to use programs and software such as final cut pro, Photoshop, Prezi etc.

In A2, I applied the techniques I learnt from AS when it came to using Weebly, my means of communication. I used Weebly to present my trailer information, this included the research and audience questionnaire. I put the planning of my trailer on another page. I then bunched my Trailer, Poster and Magazine on the construction page. The evaluation is on the evaluation page.

RESEARCH AND PLANNING

I used a wide variety of new technologies which greatly benefited the production of my trailer and my blog.

For example, in the planning stages of my research, I used a green screen to do part of my trailer analysis. Using a green screen allowed to me edit the background and add images to the background. This allowed me to go into greater depth and expand upon my points. The new technology gave me an advantage when it came to presenting my information.

YOUTUBE

What else gave me a great advantage would be the use of YouTube. This new technology was greatly beneficial as I used it when presenting my trailer.

Not only did this provide mw with n easy way to present my information, it allowed me to view other peoples trailers and find tutorial videos on how to use other new technologies such as after effects.

In the construction stage of my project, I used YouTube to upload my trailer (and part of my trailer analysis) which allowed me to embed it to my blog.

SOCIAL MEDIA

New technologies such as Facebook and twitter gave me an advantage as I asked questions on them to find out what should be in my trailer.

PREZI / SLIDE SHARE

I used new technologies such as Prezi and Slide share to upload presentations to my blog site. This allowed me to answer the evaluation questions in greater depth as I was able to elaborate on certain points with the use of images and embedded videos.

EVALUATION

I found that the use of new technologies in my A2 coursework project was very beneficial as it allowed me to use new and innovative ways to communicate ideas, planning, and the construction of my trailer.

The use of new technologies such as YouTube and Prezi to present my information gave me an advantage as it create a professional attitude towards my work.

Throughout the whole project, I found that the use of new technologies have enabled me to create a far superior product as the use of web 2.0 sites such as YouTube and Prezi allowed to to upload and share the display of information from videos edited using software such as Final Cut Pro X and Sony Vegas Pro 11.

Without the use of these, I wouldn't have been able to create a piece of work that I have done.
