During this time Marg has had many roles, from teacher aiding in classrooms and in the library, to her current role with the admin team in the school office. She has served under 3 Principals and in that time has seen tremendous change. We have loved working with Marg and we have truly valued her wisdom, her love for others and her strong sense of service to our school and community. We thank her for everything she has done for our school and we wish her and her family a happy retirement as she starts the next adventure in her life. Term 2 Reflection: As you are aware we have had our fair share of bugs with both staff and children in recent weeks. Despite all this, it has been another great term for all and there have been many highlights where we have seen lots of children make great progress with their learning. We hope you have enjoyed hearing about this at the recent mid year learning conferences. Thank you to our staff for the good work they have done this term and thank you also for the way you have supported them in this. School Security: Please keep a watch over our school during the holidays. Please report any wrong doings to the police or email [email protected]

This is an outstanding achievement considering approx 200 auditioned for each choir! We are very proud of you and wish you all the very best for this event.

Korfball:

If you have liked korfball so far, here are some opportunities to play more.

Korfball Canterbury will run a school holiday programme in both the first and the second week of the July school. You can register for the first week, or the second week, or both.

In the first week the holiday programme will be at Shirley Boys High School, North Parade, on Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 July. In the second week it will go to Middleton Grange, Acacia Avenue, Upper Riccarton on Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 July. Sessions will run from 9.00am-1.00pm. The cost is $15 per session, $30 to attend all sessions for one week or $50 to attend both weeks.

Next term, for players in the 10-13 year age group, we are running a regular weekly junior korfball academy programme.

Sessions of the junior academy will be in the Bishopdale YMCA gym on Wednesday afternoons from 4.00-5.30pm starting on 25th July.
