You should have ten files that are named with the compositional guidelines that are in the correct orientation, pixel size and folder. Marks will be deducted if you have not organized your files. Quay Shoot Outline

Organizing the Files (10 marks)

1. In your Folder, create a folder called Quay shoot and following sub-

Quay Shoot: Image Editing

Digital Photo Computer Workshop 2

Learning the basic editing tools: Cloning, Retouch,

Contrast

1. From your Raw image folder, choose one image that can be

improved using the Cloning brush. This may be to remove

an unwanted object from the frame of the picture. After you

have edited the picture, save it using “Save As” in your

“Edited” folder with the word “Clone” added to the end of 

the file name. (Simplicityclone.jpg)

2. Choose one picture that can be improved using theRETOUCH Tool. This may be to soften or to blur the

background of the picture. After you have edited the

picture, save it using, “Save As” in your Edited folder with

the word “Soften” added to the end of your file name.

3. Choose one picture that can be improved by changing the

Contrast of the picture. (Colours

>Adjust>Brightness/Contrast) After you have edited the

picture, save it using “Save As” in your Edited folder with

the word Coloration added to the end of the file name.

4. Create a subfolder in your Edited folder called Best Comps

and copy your two strongest pictures in this folder.

Blog Posts (10 marks each)

Upload and create two new posts onto your blog with these

two pictures. For each individual post, describe its strengths of 

each image in terms of its composition, lighting and focal point.
