Quasar® eLite .
Near Perfect Colour Rendition withRed Balance Control
Quasar® eLite uses the latest HD-LED technology to
provide near perfect colour rendition across the full
visible spectrum. The light is optimised to enhance thevisualisation of red tissue and features Brandon’s
unique Red Balance Control to further enhance
Surgeons’ ability to differentiate between tissues of
similar colour.
Fat Beam Technology
Quasar® eLite delivers much larger illuminated fields
than any other current product, with exceptionally
high intensity across the full width of the illuminated
area. Lights do not need to be continually adjustedwith ample illumination available, even for the largest
surgical sites.
HD Camera “Inside” as Standard
Quasar® eLite includes HD cameras and zoom
controls inside the lamp head as standard to reduce
cost, improve cleanliness, obviate the need for
excessively large handles and restricted rotations.
New video transmission technology provides
un-adulterated HD video quality with a unique system
to eliminate banding interference from LED lighting
modulation.
Designed to Minimise Infections
Quasar® eLite has been designed to minimise
sources of infections. Anti-microbial additives are
used that destroy harmful bacteria. The smooth
continuous surfaces are easy to wipe clean with the
bare minimum of split lines and the lamp heads are
sealed against the ingress of dirt and liquids to preventcontamination. Remote controls are also available, so
surgeons do not need to touch the light.

Intuitive Lighting Controls
Quasar® eLite ergonomic lighting control systems
provide clear and intuitive adjustment of all lighting
functions by the surgical team. This can be done at the
lamp head, or outside of the sterile field via a secure
wireless wall mounted control system.
Functions include:
l Electronic lighting control from the lamp head
keypadl Focus (field size) adjustment from the keypad,
sterilisable handle and wall mounted control.
l Red Balance Control to optimise the visualisation
of red tissue.
l Light intensity control with Endoscopy setting
(5%).
Integrated Camera System
Quasar® eLite surgical light integrates advanced
quality camera solutions for teaching and research.
The camera is securely embedded within the slim
lamp head, avoiding external camera mounting
systems and bulky handles.
Elimination of “Visual Banding”
The control frequencies used in LED lighting cause
interference with HD video signals resulting in black
banding on monitor screens. Quasar® eLite eliminates
this by synchronising the control frequency of the
LEDs to that of the HD camera systems.

Simple Manoeuvrability
Virtual handles and a slim, light-weight lamp head,
allow the surgical team to position the lamp head
perfectly for each procedure. The lamp head has 6
rotations to position the light beam into the deepest
of cavities.
Minimal Environmental Impact
Quasar® eLite provides the highest lighting
performance with the smallest energy
consumption. HD-LED light sources reduce
energy consumption significantly. The estimated
C02 reductions are at least 1.25 tonnes per year,
per operating theatre. HD-LED avoids the use of
environmentally damaging materials such as
mercury, lead, cadium, CFC’s, POPs, VOCs or
halogens.
