FAQ
How important is shaking the QuantiFERON tubes?
Complete mixing of the tubes is essential for proper performance of the QFT assay. During manufacture, the tube contents (TB-Specific antigens, Mitogen etc.) are spray dried onto the ENTIRE inner surface of the tube above the gel. Thus, blood needs to come into contact with the total inner surface to ensure that all reagents are rehydrated.
