VALVE SIZING CALCULATIONWE CAN ACCURATELY SIZE MANUAL AND CONTROL VALVES, INCLUDING ACTUATORS, BY USING THE LATEST SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY .

We can calculate valve-specific data (Kvs value, required nominal valve size, etc.) for up to four operational requirements by means of processing and average data supplied by users/engineers. This data is used to determine or check valve size and, for controlling valves, the forecasted opening stroke.

Finally, noise emissions and other operating data such as velocity and possible problems (cavitation and/or flow choke) are calculated for the selected valve.

Direct-reduction, an alternative iron making method, is increasingly popular as it overcomes some of the difficulties and expense of conventional blast furnaces. Direct-reduction iron (DRI) can be manufactured using either natural gas or coal-based technology.

Iron ore is reduced into a solid state at 800 to 1,050 °C (1,470 to 1,920 °F) either by reducing gas (H2+CO) or coal. The specific investment and operating costs of direct reduction plants are low compared to integrated steel plants and they are more suitable for many developing countries where supplies of coking coal are limited.

GLASS FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS (GRP) ARE A COMPOSITE CONSISTING OF AT LEAST TWO DIFFERENT MATERIALS.

GRP PIPING IS SIZED PER SPECS The combination of materials produces a synergy for superior performance.A binder or matrix and reinforcing material is commonly used to combine the physically different component materials. Their molecules do not bond but rather they form a composite by joining at their boundary layers. What is important is that the constituents are compatible in terms of properties and processing. This technology originated in the aviation and arms industries, for which particularly light high-performance materials are required.

CONTAINERIZED RO SYSTEMThe desalination core process is based on Reverse Osmosis Membrane technology, but by itself it doesn’t provide safe drinking water, and it can compromise plant efficiency.Pretreatment includes all the necessary treatment steps before water enters the reverse osmosis plant. It is a key factor in determining longer plant life and to minimize chemical cleaning and membrane replacement. It has a direct impact on the plant performance.There are as many membrane types as there are applications. They range from high rejection to ultra low energy or high boron rejection.Reverse osmosis can be carried out with one or many passes, depending on water product requirements, seawater salinity and temperature.The energy recovery device is the key factor that determines the plant’s electrical costs. It must be chosen carefully on the basis of local energy costs and environment policies and regulation.Post treatment and/or polishing steps are required to condition the water after the reverse osmosis membrane process to make it suitable for its end use.

Brine disposal can be an environmental and economic issue in some areas where the fauna and flora are sensitive to increased local seawater salinity. Brine disposal should be considered and engineered on a case by case basis.The art of desalination is to determine and combine available technologies to optimize water production costs and quality.In order to adapt our desalination plants to your local needs, we offer containerized intake-to-distribution mobile units,, with a production capacity of up to 200 m3/h of desalinated water.

WASTE WATER TREATMENTIn a nutshell, this the process of removing contaminants from wastewater. It involves physical, chemical, and biological processing to remove these contaminants and produce environmentally safe treated wastewater.

PRINCIPAL STEPS IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT :Pretreatment: Pretreatment removes all materials that can be easily collected from raw sewage before they damage or clog pumps and sewage lines in primary treatment clarifiers. Pretreatment may additionally include removal of sand, grit and fat.

Primary treatment: The primary sedimentation process takes place when sewage flows through large tanks called primary clarifiers; tanks are used to allow sludge to settle; at the same time, grease and oils rise to the surface and are skimmed off. Primary settling tanks are usually equipped with mechanically driven scrapers that continually drive the collected sludge towards a hopper at the base of the tank from which it is pumped to sludge treatment facilities.

Secondary treatment: This treatment step substantially degrades the biological content of sewage that comes from human waste and from food waste. The majority of municipal plants treat the settled sewage liquor using aerobic biological processes.

Tertiary treatment: This is the process of providing further improving the final treatment stage before the treated water is discharged into the sea, rivers, lakes, wet lands, the ground, etc. Sand filtration removes much of residual suspended matter and is one of the most commonly used and effective means of tertiary treatment.

Strict quality control is followed for every welded valve configuration produced by SED. All weld seams that are accessible are polished according to the interior surface specification. The completed welded valve configuration is visually inspected and 100% are pressure tested.
