FOREWORD This Quality book is made after several years experiencing Ceramic selling over Europe. The following pages will show you all our requirements (production, labels, packing …) and the different defects which will not be accepted by CADES DESIGN. The many pictures are extracting from a quality file regularly updated with inspection reports and our custumers’claims. For each parts (packing instructions, ceramic defects, finishing…), we will explain the quali-ty requirements expecting by Cades Design. The final good quality will help us to set a long term relationship between you and Cadès. If the Quality standards are fulfilled, CADES DESIGN’ purchasers will be willing to repeat new orders without any worries about quality issues which is a guarantee of success for everyone. With the following Quality book, we don’t want to add another difficulty; the objective is to improve the general quality of your products regarding CADES DESIGN’ standards. Those are essentially set by expectations of European customers. The final good quality will also help you to sell more and more products in Europe.

AQM Inspection This document will be useful during and following the mass production : Before AQM inspection The factory will be able to do a pre-control during mass production before AQM inspection. After AQM inspection The provider will have to use this document to proceed to an eventual sort out of the defective goods. If no AQM Inspection The provider will use this document in order to proceed to their own control during and after mass production

1)AQM Inspection before Shipment We can decide to do an inspection in your company before shipment. This information will be mentioned in the L/C or in the e-mail sent by our assistants. Our AQL is 2.5 If your order is going to be inspected, then : - Inspection must take place at least 3 weeks before shipment so please contact AQM enough time before to arrange inspection, knowing AQM will inspect 6 references / day and knowing we could require a re-inspection . [email protected] for INDIA [email protected] for CHINA - We will give to AQM the list of references that are supposed to be inspected. Please make available one person to pick up samples at the arrival of AQM inspectors and to help for tests shocks. For stability testing, envisage a big enough marble or granite surface. - Shock Tests will be done on oversized items (over pallets ' dimensions) A report of control is emitted by the inspector at the end of inspection and sent to the quality Ma-nager of CADES DESIGN who is the one, with the buyer, who decides if you can ship the goods or not. If the number of defects exceeds the CADES DESIGN quality standard, the buyer and quality ma-nager can decide to finally : - accept all the order - ask for sorting out the goods , correct or reject the defective items.

- ask for new production with improvements required ! IMPORTANT : Re inspection fees are at the charge of Suppliers. CADES DESIGN will give agreement for shipment to the forwarder once the inspection reports are OK. --> Suppliers in India : have to pay AQM directly at re-inspection. -->Suppliers in China : must deduct fees of re inspection on CADES DESIGN commercial invoice. Please note you will be charged of extra fees if (daily dollars rate will be applied) : - you failed the first inspection & need re inspection ( 220,00 € / day / man ) - you modify the date of inspection less than 2 Working days before the previous date. 220,00 € ) - you ask for an express inspection ( 66,00 € + 220,00 € )

If no inspection required. Please send pictures 05 to 10 pieces, to Cades Design of : - Product open -not open. - Labels (Barcode, shipping mark and any other lables). - Assortment or product set with the packing. - Spare part without and with packing. IMPORTANT : Supplier must not move goods to the port without the OK BOOKING from

CADES DESIGN. At reception in our Warehouse A first control will determine if it is needed to make a more detailed control. In every case, the control of the conditioning and the sub-conditioning is made at least 1 minimum box. If we need to make second control, SAMPLES WILL BE TAKEN IN NEW BOXES. The cost of the sorting out as well as the amount of the refused pieces will be the object of a debit for the next order.

B) Instructions

Depending on the selling unit of each product, the following stickers must appear whether on each piece, or on each gift box. To the side of the product. Example :

For gift or colored boxes, only one food contact sticker is needed for the box, to be stuck un-derneath:

For pieces sold at unit in stores, one sticker per piece is required, to be stuck underneath as well:

5. PACKING INSTRUCTION

The Inner: If no Inner boxes, you must absolutely respect the initial packing decided with the buyer. If you work with individual packing in inner boxes, then you can't change the inner. For repeat orders, you must keep exactly the same packing as previous order, except modi-

fications from our side.

The MASTER packing : Make sure following points : If the Shipping mark is on a label: it should be on white paper, printed in black ink and stuck

at the bottom. If the Shipping mark is printed directly on the carton, it must be printed in black ink. The dimensions should be adjusted to the frontal faces of carton. Shipping marks should be stuck on 2 frontal faces. Shipping marks should be centred on boxes.

Barcode Sticker For item & Inner BOX --> Barcode sticker The barcode sticker must be stuck on each inner packing as well. Every product and every inner packing should be identified by a barcode sticker on which appear the reference and the barcode of the product. (EAN or GTIN *). Please adjust the Master box : To the product inside or to the inner boxes packing. To the Pallet ' s DIMENSIONS --> H 1.900 x 0.800 x 1.200 x metres.

One different barcode sticker per size to be stuck on individual packing + One barcode for the whole set to be stuck on inner box or on the biggest one.

Remark : For sets, please find below the explanation of the following characters : PM : Small size MM : Medium size GM : Large size

All Artworks (Barcodes, Warning labels, Backstamp, Tags) have to be sent 2 weeks after receiving the order. And be-fore mass printing.

Adhesive paper

Anti-mold Bags ! ALLERGIES : bags anti-mold caused allergies in consumers. These bags containing hygroscopic product were contaminated with Dimethyl Fumarate (CAS 624-49-7), anti-fungal substance. Two chain stores in France were forced to withdraw sofas and boots their shelves So please make sure you are not using Dimethyl Fumarate in your anti-mold Bags. Silica gel desiccant packs are preparations (SiO2-xH2O) in respect of EU’s REACH Regulation 1907/2006. Silica gels, also known as desiccants, are widely used for protecting products from moisture. Sometimes additional functions are included, such as antimicrobial or anti-odour. Following our in-house assessment, we found that some of these products contained Cobalt Chloride (CoCl2), as listed by the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) as a potential candidate for SVHC under Article XIV . If your Silica Gel packs contain Coblat Chloride (CoC12), you would then be pleased to prepare for substi-tution and/or notification.

The date of loading should be necessarily respected . If this one is not respected, CADES DESIGN can demand delay penalties as follows : - 3 % from 7 to 14 days of delay - 5 % from 15 to 22 days of delay - 8% from 23 to 30 days of delay - 12% beyond 30 days or CADES can cancel the order --> please gather on the same level of the container all master cartons of the same reference. --> Please load the light items above the heavier ones, so that they are not crushed at re-ception For the volumes around 14 m ³, use a complete container 20 '. The documents of transport necessary for the customs clearance are: - The Container weight VGM Declare (SOLAS) - The invoice : packing per inner box must be mentioned - the shipping doc. (Bill of Lading or Air Way Bill) - the packing list ( With packing per Inner Box and Master Box ) - Loading Plan per container - the Export license (if the article is subjected to quotas) - the Certificate of fumigation for goods in natural materials (wood, basketwork, rattan) IMPORTANT : Quantity mentioned on all shipping documents must match with the quantity loaded in the

container. If not, extra administrative fees of 100,00$ will be deducted on next order . The B/L will not be backdated. All documents have to be issued under the same expot name & CADES DESIGN name One copy of all shipping documents should be mailed at Cades Design, 7 days max after the real date of departure. So that CADES DESIGN can get the goods for the initially foreseen delay. For the air loadings, copies should be mailed in the daytime by the expedition and originals should travel with the goods. All the expenses caused by a delay of documents will be echoed on the next order.

1. All markings and tags must have the same dimension: Wording: 2 millimeters minimum Symbols : 5 millimeters minimum 2. Every marking must be translated in 4 languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian) 3. Pay attention on the packing: no empty spaces, right number of inner, right protec-tion. 4.
