Hands-On Answer Lab
vAlUed ClientS:
Thank you for joining us at this year’s conference in beautiful Washington, DC. Over the course of the next few days, you will have the unique opportunity to network with industry leaders, hear firsthand about our clients’ successes, and see how our new solutions will help your organization today—and over the long-term. We also look forward to welcoming you, in person, to the Harris family. We’re excited about the future, and hope you are too, as we combine the skills, dedication, market knowledge, and solutions of QuadraMed with the long-term ownership values of Harris.
The theme of this year’s event is “Capitol Ideas for What’s Next in Healthcare.” Amidst increased financial pressure and demand for care, a shifting reimbursement model, and regulatory challenges, organizations like yours are challenged like never before. We are 100% focused on enhancing each and every one of our solutions and services, and delivering the innovation that will empower your patients, promote safety, and drive your revenue growth. In addition, rest assured that QuadraMed, with Harris’ support, will work with you to keep the commitments we have made, deliver upon the product road maps we have developed together, and continue to build upon our great partnerships.
User Group 2013 is packed with important and timely information and educational sessions. We know you will enjoy lively discussions on everything from our new Business Intelligence and mobile Self-Service solutions, to strategies that will help Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) succeed, to our latest care management solution plans. Client feedback is an essential part of our product development process, so we encourage everyone to attend and participate in these discussions. In addition to the sessions already mentioned, we’re excited to host an executive track again this year, as well as a physician’s track, and to offer a number of presentations by various thought leaders.
We hope you’ll also enjoy hearing from our distinguished keynote speaker, Janet Marchibroda, on Monday, August 19 at 9:00 a.m. A nationally-recognized industry leader, Ms. Marchibroda is the director of the Health Innovation Initiative and the executive director of the CEO Council on Health and Innovation at the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC). Also, come meet Harris CEO, Jeff Bender, during an informative luncheon presentation on Tuesday, August 20.
With hundreds of attractions, highlighting everything from education to history to entertainment, Washington, DC truly offers something for everyone. The Marriott Wardman Park is a great starting point for sightseeing for you and your family, and is within easy walking distance of nightlife, shops, and restaurants. The hotel is in close proximity to the National Zoo and the National Cathedral, and is just a metro stop away from the National Mall, the Washington Monument, and the White House.
On behalf of everyone at QuadraMed and Harris, thank you again for attending User Group 2013, and welcome to Washington, DC! I hope you’ll make the most of your time with us and enjoy the event.
Sincerely,

It’s an honor to have Janet Marchibroda, director of the Health Innovation Initiative and the

transformation of health care.
Ms. Marchibroda is a nationally-recognized expert on and advocate for the use of health IT to
improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of health care. She has worked extensively with leaders
across two administrations, leaders in both parties of Congress, leaders in a majority of states across
the U.S., and private sector leaders across every sector of health care. She has been recognized as
one of the Top 25 Women in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare magazine and received the Federal
Computer Week Top 100 Award.
Prior to her work at BPC, Ms. Marchibroda led stakeholder engagement activities for the National

She has also served as the chief health care officer for IBM, and was the founding chief executive
officer for eHealth Initiative (eHI). In addition, Ms. Marchibroda was the chief operating officer of
the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a non-profit, independent organization devoted

development from The George Washington University.

of the CEO Council on Health and Innovation at the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), will discuss how

This nationally-recognized industry leader will present thoughts on the turbulent convergence of
