    Teaching & Mentoring

    Thomas continues to teach

the Scriptures to the youngadults in Sweetwaters. He just

    spoke at the Crossroads bible

    study graduation ceremony.

He is one of the instructors

for this course. It is heavily

    attended by the Indian people

    group in the Northdale

    subdivision. He continues to

oversee the school and assistthe teachers. He also helps

    the children with homework

    daily.

House VisitsWe continue to go on house visits every Thursday. We gave away 6 Zulu Bibles to

the saved patients we visited. The lady pictured here is Hnoniphine. When she got

her new Bible, we could see her squinting. After a brief eye exam, we gave her

reading glasses. Her eyes lit up then a little tear dropped from the corner of her

eyes in gratitude. It is such a blessing to share God's Word weekly in the

    community.

Homework TimeStarting at 1:15pm Monday-Thursday, everyone reports to the "OLD SCHOOL". It is our

cafeteria/assembly area at Tabitha. Each intern sits at a table and assists the kids with

their Math homework or additional reading assignment. We also help the kids learn

their Bible verses they memorize for the Friday morning assembly. It is so funny to

hear a few kids shout "I'm FREE!" when homework time is over!

    Sweetwaters Bible Stud y

    This is the church in

    Sweetwaters where we meet

    to teach the young adults.

    Thomas and I also take

    along our interns so they

    can participate in the study

    and meet people in the

    community there own age. It

is fun to teach the two

    cultures the Bible together.

    It makes for very different

    answers and lively

    conversation at times.

    Look we can swim !

    Thomas was able to arrange

swim lessons for all the Tabitha

kids. He got Jacob's swim coach

(Coach Sibs) to agree to teach

the kids on Fridays after school.

What is so awesome is Coach

Sibs is doing it for FREE! The

kids really look forward to this

    opportunity every week. What

    out Michael Phelps...Here we

    come!

    Baking Class

We got to make good ole

    pepperoni pizza with

    pineapple at baking class

    this month. The girls still

    love to cook. Good table

    manners are still a work

    in progress....HA!

    Elizabeth meets Sharky!

We all loaded up and went to Durban for a fun intern outing. We went to watch the

Durban Sharks play rugby against the Force from Australia. Our team won and

Elizabeth had a great time with the interns. Elizabeth also won a two year scholarship

to Lee University. She will accept the scholarship and start attending Lee this Fall. We

are so proud of her but will miss her very much.

    Look who has braces!

Jacob couldn't escape the orthodontist this month. He had his braces put on March

    26. They didn't slow his eating down a bit to NO ONES surprise HA! He also won the

Math Olympiad at his new high school. He scored the highest on the Math exam in his

grade. It is the highest math score on that test a St. Charles grade 8 has achieved in

years. He makes us all smile.
