Why do you wish to do
management?I am an engineer and fairly adept with my technical skills. While I am quite confident about my engineeringabilities, I will not say the same about my managerialskills. There is so much in an organization which I feel Ireally need to know and that is about managing people andthings. When I see my seniors at work, I see farsightednessand an ability to resolve issues aspects which amaze me.These skills can only be acquired in a management
institute and are skills which will open the doors to success.I need to hone my technical abilities with managerialacumen, which I feel will make me a complete person.Thats precisely why I wish to do an MBA.

Can you follow instructions without
getting hurt and upset?
Instructions at times can be quiteunpleasant, but thats what they are meantto be, because they are task oriented. There are times when I do not likeinstructions, but I do not let them come in

Do you have an analytical mind?
I do believe that I am quite analytical,
because whenever I have been successful in
anything that I have ventured to do and thathas been possible only because I was
analytical. There is a need to analyze
everything before actually getting into the
work, per se else the end result willcertainly not be up to the mark.

7/47
Would you like to work in a small or
a large company?I feel that the size of a company does not matter.
Any size will be fine because it is work which
actually matters. A small sized company can bring
to the focus any noteworthy contribution that Imake, and the learning process is also more
pronounced. The knowledge and experience that
one would get in a large company would be of a
different magnitude. Comparisons therefore, arereally not in place. I am willing to work anywhere
and thats what really matters.

What are your views about overtime
work?A person, who has to work overtime, isone whose prioritization is not ideal.Workneeds to be scheduled, planned and
programmed. A planned will result in noovertime work. However, if due toextraneous circumstances, work is delayedcannot be completed on schedule, I woulddefinitely burn midnight oil to complete it.Overtime would then seem small incomparison.

19/47
Do you prefer working with others
or yourself?I would say Id like to do a bit of both. When I saythat Id like to work as an individual, it meansthat as a leader Id like to first formulate my plansand put down my thoughts on paper. For this Id
like to be left alone without any disturbance. OnceIve done that, Id then get my team together andput forward all that I have planned and make itopen to discussion. I believe that many heads arealways better than one. This way the plan could
only get better, with inputs from my team.Thereafter, we would all work together to put themodified plan into action, because there is nothingmore successful than teamwork.

what you could possibly say).I do not think there is anything that I wouldreally like to change in my past life, becausethat would entail my losing out on a number of
things which are dear to me. I am happy as Iam and would really not like to changeanything in my past.

Are you more energized by working with data
or by collaborating with other individuals?
I like the validity of information and also like theenergy that comes with working with people. The bestthing about working in a group is combining the great
minds from different perspectives and coming up withsomething extremely great, compared with whenyou're working alone. At the same time, informationcan generate vitality in the project you're working on.No matter how many heads you've got together,
without information, you can't go very far. Theperfect situation would be a combination of workingwith information and people, and I'm confident of myabilities in both areas.

32/47
What quality or attribute do you feel will
most contribute to your career success?
My greatest strength is my flexibility. I havelearned that work conditions change from day today and throughout the day, as well, no matter
where I have worked in the past. I also haverealized that certain projects require individualattention and others involve a teamworkapproach. These are just a few examples of thechanges that happen in the financial consulting

33/47
What personal weakness has caused you the
greatest difficulty in school or on the job?
My greatest weakness had been delegation. I wouldtake it upon myself to do many small projectsthroughout my shift as a manager that could havebeen done by others in an attempt to improve my
workers' efficiency. Once I realized that I was doingmore work than the other assistant managers, andthey were achieving better results, I reevaluated whatI was doing. I quickly realized that if I assigned eachperson just one small project at the beginning of their
shift, clearly state expectations for the project, andthen follow up that everything would get done, and Icould manage much more efficiently and actuallyaccomplish much more.

Are you the type of student for whom
conducting independent research has been a
positive experience?
Yes, I love it. I thoroughly enjoyed my
senior research in college while many others
in my class were miserable. I was never
tired of learning more about my topic and
found it exhilarating to be researchingsomething that had not been studied before.

35/47
Can you describe any professor or faculty who created
the most beneficial learning experience for you.
My favorite professors/faculty were the ones
who gave me hands-on learning experiences
that I can apply to my career. Any person can
make you memorize books, but someone whocan show you how to use bookish matter,
practically, and why, were the professors I
liked. I liked teachers who realized that
sometimes there is more then one answer and
everyone thinks differently.

36/47
Do you think that your grades are an indication
of your academic achievement?
I have focused much of my energy on work andobtaining real-world experience. I commend myclassmates who have earned high GPAs, but I also feelit's important to be well-rounded. In addition to work
experience, I participated in sports andextracurricular activities in school. These activitiestaught me leadership, communication, and teamworkskills. Sometimes my heavy load has not allowed me tokeep up with some of my studies, but I have learned
an enormous amount that I can apply in my futureindustry. As you will discover if you talk to mysupervisors, my ability to work effectively is muchmore reflective of my future potential than is my GPA.

What plans do you have for continued study? An
advanced degree?
I plan to continue my education for the rest of mylife. In any technology-related field, keeping up todate through continuing education is of the utmostimportance.Continuing education can include on-
the-job training, courses sponsored by theemployer, and courses taken in new technologiesas they emerge. I plan to be not only a careeremployee but a career student so that I can be thebest information systems analyst I can be. I will
ensure, however, that any education I pursue notonly doesn't interfere with my job or thecompany's policies, but will enhance my value asan employee.

be done at the same time. How did you handle it?What
was the result? In my current job, I have to handle multiple
responsibilities in developing new projects,

good client relations. I allocate a certain
amount of time for each area daily. That

What is the biggest mistake you've made?
The biggest mistake in my life that I havemade is taking for granted the sacrifices my
parents endured for me. I look back and
realize that everything they did for me was so
that I could succeed in life. I am thankful nowand do everything to my best ability to make
them proud because I am so thankful that
they have been there for me so that I can giveback to society and to my job the
opportunities that they never had.
