Our client wanted to launch a new packaging with new temper prooftechnology to fight the counterfeit issue one of their leading chemicalbrand was facing in India.

• Research stimulus tested -• 6 design prototypes including the existing one• 5 counterfeit technologies i.e. security layers were tested

through concept cards along with samples of closelyresembling products

2 Prelaunch testing of the Digital farming app for Horticultural crops and vegetables growers

The client, a globally renowned crop protection company wanted to test themobile farming app among the growers in terms of user experience ,likeliness to use it , relevance to their farming operation and suggestion forimprovement before the final launch of the app.

• Research was conducted among the Apple, Tomato and Grapesgrowers having android based touch screen smart phones

• Key geographies included - Himachal Pradesh , Maharashtra andKarnataka

• The app was downloaded on the phones of the growers at the time ofrecruitment

• In depth interviews among the growers post 7 days of usage experiencewith the app.

The study threw up the following highlights –

The client , a Big MNC wanted to review the price strategy for one of their highest selling molecule in the country which was going out of patent in few years.

• The study was conducted among 2400 growers of 6 different crops viz. Rice, Sugarcane , Red gram, Soybean, Tomato and Bengal Gram.

• The study was done through pen and paper method using discrete choice modelling

• Stimulus – Task cards having randomized price levels , 12 versions

The study clearly indicated the following -

• The price level where revenue is maximized with significant gains in the volumes

• Which all markets and crops are most price sensitive • Pricing simulator also allowed the client to simulate various

scenarios keeping competition in mind • Finally 10-15% price reduction was suggested to the client • Beginning of 2018 , the client’s product is repositioned with reduced

price in the market basis the findings of Q & Q.

4 Understanding brand equity and Customer satisfaction for Major Seed player across 4 Crops

Nov 2017

Background :• The client had multiple brands across 4 different crop• Internal C- sat did not yield any significant results. • Further more, 2 acquisition made in the last 5 years created no

differentiation between umbrella brand vs the sub brand –leading to confusion among the end users.

Target Group and Crop :• About 3700 growers were contacted across 19 states and 69

districts • Crops covered - Cotton, Millet, Rice and Corn • Methodology : the study was conducted through face to face

interviews among the growers

The study findings helped the client to understand the following -

• Brand equity of all the major client brands vis a vis competition in each crop

• Strengths and weaknesses of each brand• Understanding key purchase driver for the category in each crop • Customer satisfaction index ( CSI) for all client brands vs the key
