consuming. Assembling coolant hoses also proves

cumbersome in the limited space.

JETSTREAM TOOLING®

▪ Jetstream Tooling® delivers high-pressure coolant precisely

to the cutting zone for highly efficient chip management,

extended tool life and superior part surface finishes.

▪ Jetstream Tooling® Duo, available on a selection of cutting

heads, adds a second coolant outlet from the clearance

side and increases the effect of coolant significantly.

▪ Jetstream Tooling® and Jetstream Tooling® Duo

technologies have been incorporated into the QC Modular

Toolholder to optimize chip evacuation and secure

unmanned small-part operations on sliding head machines.

▪ The QC Modular Toolholder allows the square shank with

hose connection to remain in the machine, maintaining the

positioning while the operator changes the head. The

hoses provide the internal channels for Jetstream Tooling®

and eliminate the need for external tubes.

ASSEMBLE & GUIDANCE

Jetstream Tooling® – Assembly Instruction for Hoses

▪ Hoses can be assembled from both the side as well as in

the back of the shank.

▪ The thread used for hose connection varies between

different sizes; for a 1616 shank, the 1/8 BSP threads is

used, while the smaller shank sizes use M8*1.0 threads.

▪ All shanks are neutral and can be used for both right

and left QC heads, which means that locking screws and

hose connections will be always be available.

▪ All Jetstream Tooling® accessories may be found in the

Seco Tools Turning Navigator.For personal safety, Jetstream Tooling® should only be used with the machine door in a fully closed position in accordance with general machine safety procedures. Please ensure that the coolant hose is correctly located and fully tightened with all seals in position. The unused coolant hose should be fitted with a blanking plug.


ASSEMBLE & GUIDANCE

Jetstream Tooling® Duo

▪ Jetstream Tooling® Duo adds a second coolant outlet

from the clearance side for select cutting heads. For

even more versatile machining, the second coolant

outlet may be shut off when needed for specific

applications or to accommodate limited coolant supply.

▪ To shut off the Duo coolant outlet, remove P6SS3X3G

and change to the longer screw, P6SS3X5, available as

an accessory. It is important to also use suitable glue

for sealing the thread, such as Loctite® 270.

Guidance – QC Modular Toolholder

▪ The QC toolholder requires only one screw for

assembly. For precise and safe assembly between the

head and shank, we recommend using a torque of 4.0

Nm (Seco Tools Torque key T00-15P40).

▪ Two different QC head sizes are available in this range,

QC12 and QC16 (same heads for both metric and inch).

▪ QC12 head size can be used for both metric shank

1010 & 1212 and inch shank 0375 & 050.

▪ QC16 head size use shank 1616 for both metric and

inch.
