Why this question?

The reason we asked this question is because me and Caity both knew that a stars representation/image is what makes them, Richard Dyer once said “ A star is an image, not a real person”. A glance at someone can leave you with a lasting impression of who they are as a person.Mine and Caity’s desire was to make them look modern and look professional like they were into the music and were passionate musicians and didn’t have any marketing gimmick eg the spice girls.Out of everyone that filled in the questionnaire all agreed that they liked their image and approved of it with one saying” it's not how id imagine the singers to look like, but I think that's a good thing. “

Interesting response part 1

“I don't know, wouldn't really want to meet either of them in a dark alley. There was a kind of dead pan think going on but I assumed that was intentional either way it worked with the numb feel the music gives.”This comment is interesting to us as it caught us both off track, as we originally planned to have it seem like they were really passionately into the music however if the dead pan feel works with the vibe of the music and the audience feels it works it just adds different ways it can be perceived. As due to the abstract nature of our video if the audience comes up with different interpretations then that is completely okay.

“I found the girl to be very innocent and quite vulnerable at times when they boy kept cancelling on her when she was waiting and when he pulled away from her kissing and I found him to be represented to be quite in control of the whole thing as when she woke up she looked frightened by him at the end of her bed and it seemed he was always the one calling the shots “This comment touches more on the representations of the characters in the narrative, and shows us that the audience really understands from the video the dynamic of the relationship between Katie and Luke in the video. This is positive for Me and Caity as it shows our narrative is effective in showcasing a bad relationship. The video acts as a narrative and a warning about bad relationship.
