IPC MEDIA

IPC Media produces magazines such as ‘Women’ and ‘Yachting Monthly’ -they don’t actually produce any magazines based on the clubbing world or night life scenes.

A publishing company such as this one has a very good, high reputation within selling and marketing magazines and currently IPC have a gap in the market for magazine such as the one that I have created.

I think that as a media institution, IPC might distribute my magazine as it would enable them to broaden their audience and provide magazine completely different to any other that they currently sell.

By filling this gap in the market, they would be appealing to a wider audience and this would go on to increase their sales. As well as expanding and adapting their company.

MAGAZINES THAT IPC ALREADY PUBLISH

IPC MEDIA- OTHER METHODS OF DISTRIBUTION IPC media publishing company have other ways of

advertising their magazines and other methods of distributing them.

This is through having a ‘page’ set up on a social networking website. The website that they are on is Twitter. This enables them to be in direct contact with some of their readers and many of their target audience ranges for each of their publishing magazines.

Not only does this enable their existing customers to keep in the loop of their upcoming magazines and events, but it also allows new or future customers to find out about their work and which types of magazines that they publish and are involved with.

DEVELOPMENT HELL LIMITED

Development Hell Limited publish magazines such as Mix Mag. For my own magazine I adapted and changed the style that mix mag

used and created it based on the same style of music and information. Mix mag is a clubbing and dance music based magazine that specialises

in the ‘know how’ with the big Ibiza clubs as well as new music in the UK from a similar background and substance.

Regarding the fact that I based my own music magazine on the style of Mix mag, I don’t think that Development Hell Ltd would publish my magazine as it is to similar to the magazine that they already publish and support.

If Development Hell Limited were to publish my magazine, I wouldn’t be broadening their customer base or filling a gap in the market that they do not yet meet. Therefore there would be no reason for them to publish Antidote.
