product and ancillary texts?

The graphics in my documentary are similar to the graphics on my print advert. They are bold, in clear font and in white too stand out from the dark background. They link together by being visual aids. The colour

scheme is basic and easy see the links between both.

Even though there is a red outline around the

graphics in the documentary. The font is

the same, its bold and stands out from the

background.

The scheduling information is the same on the print advert and in the radio trailer. This shows I paid attention to detail, to make sure everything was the same. If it was different the audience wouldn’t know when to watch the programme.

The combination of my 3 texts work together as an overall package because the voice over is the same in my documentary and in my radio trailer. This proves I am linking them both together. I have also used clips from my documentary in my radio trailer to attract and grab the audiences attention when they hear the trailer on the BBC radio stations.

The music in the documentary relates to the theme, it is also the same piece of music in the radio trailer to home in on the theme of books because everyone knows the title of the song is Read All About.

The slogan is the same on the print advert and in the radio trailer. ‘Read All About It’ is simple but effective, it grabs the audiences attention and makes them want to find out more about books and therefore they will watch the programme.

The title of the documentary is the same through out all 3 texts. This is the key that links them all together as they are all about the documentary called ‘Book Ends’
