PVC HEAT STADILIZERS According to sources in the U.S., PVC siding and window frame profiles will continue to represent the largest growth area for PVC heat stabilizers. A recent study from the Vinyl Institute in Cleveland (sponsored by the industry) says that use of heat stabilizers in siding over the past year has increased by around 20%. An industry source estimates that consumption in the window profile sector, which, at the present time is equivalent to about one fifth of the siding total, will eventually equal that of the siding sector. Window profile sales in 1986 in the U.S. increased by 34%.

IMPACT MDDIFIER Borg-Warner has announced that its Blendex 338 modifier is now fully commercial. This is a controlled particle size impact modifier intended for opaque PVC sheet, profile, and injection moulding applications.

CONDUCTIVE FILLER DB-500, a nickel-coated graphite conductive filler, is now being distributed exclusively by G. E. Plastics, Pittsfield, Mass.
