PILLAR GROUP profile

PILLAR GROUP profile

1991 – establishing of Pillar JSC (Ukraine) 1995 – Pillar’s start of own monocrystalline silicon ingot production 2001 – establishing of Silicio Solar SAU (Spain) 2002 – Pillar JSC becomes the first manufacturer of multicrystalline silicon ingots and wafers in Eastern Europe 2004 – establishing of engineering and machine building company - Tesys Ltd. (Ukraine) 2006 – start of ingot and wafer manufacturing in Fab-1 of Silicio Solar 2009 – start of manufacturing in Fab-2 of Silicio Solar

PILLAR GROUP profile

Automatic feedstock thermal-stress crashing system

Automatic external feeder for Cz puller

Automatic doping device for DS furnace

Ingot unloading and handling system

Automatic quartz crucible coating system

Automatic ingot pre-washing system

Ingot gluing system

 and many others

New developments: SECOND WIND FOR MULTI

Developed by TESYS in collaboration with PILLAR GROUP ingot manufacturing experts

Compatible with the most of directional solidification furnaces installed in previous years Available since 2011

The solution is unique and doesn’t have any analog all over the market Reliable and proven in mass multi Si ingot production Over 20 installations in operation

Increases output of waferable material Brings ingot manufacturing cost down significantly Fully automated control over the process

New developments: SECOND WIND FOR MULTI

INDUCTION MELTING IN COLD CRUCIBLE (IMCC)

Advantages of IMCC:   much higher growth rate and productivity vs DS method   no need for expensive quartz crucible and graphite hot zone   ensuring homogenous distribution of resistivity along the ingot   no contaminations from quartz crucible and nitride coating, metals, silicon carbide, oxygen etc.

Developed by TESYS in collaboration with PILLAR GROUP ingot manufacturing experts Pilot furnace in operation at TESYS facility Pre-serial furnace under construction

INDUCTION MELTING IN COLD CRUCIBLE (IMCC)

Output >18MT per month

  Solar cells manufactured in an

industriall production line on IMCC wafers

The obtained efficiency of trial lots reached 16.3% on average.
