Market tendencies for 2009 :Market tendencies for 2009 :o Market driven by BIPV on tertiary and agricultural
building with # 85 MWp (+283% /08)o Market on individual housing with BIPV (existing
and new) 2nd segment with # 75 MWp (+227% /08)o “Solar park” at # 60 MWp (+500% /08)o Forecast market 09 : 250 MWp expected “sold”o A high level of applications at the end of 2009, with
3 GW on 6 weeks. Negotiations about retroactive FIT conditions for this applications
Market tendencies for 2009 :Market tendencies for 2009 :
New FIT 2010 :New FIT 2010 :- Contract on 20 years- BIPV at 58 c€/kWh and 50 c€/kWh (depends of
type and age of the building)- BIPV simplified at 42 c€/kWh (every type of
building)- FIT in base (for roof top and ground mounted
systems) at 31,4 c€/kWh with a bonus until 20 % above 250 kW. Bonus linked with sun irradiation
New FIT 2010 :New FIT 2010 :- New cap of 2200 h/year with tracking, 1500
without, in France continental- Corsica and Overseas: 1800 hours or 2600
hours if solar tracking- No more license for production (“Certificat
d’obligation d’achat”). The installer has to attest the compliance with norms and laws
- Technical requirements for “BIPV” will be changed in 2011
Market tendencies for 2010 :Market tendencies for 2010 :o ??? for projects developed at the end of 09, high
potential impact, more than 3 GW of applicationso Residential (Individual & collective) housing with
BIPV will be not impacted. FIT at 58 c€ is high.o Market on tertiary and agricultural building with
simplified BIPV (at 42 cts€) will be limited in the north part of France
o Development of “solar park” segment and big roof top projects (with 20% bonus),
o Forecast market 2010 : 300 to 400 MWp
Conservative Enerplan road map : Conservative Enerplan road map :
A new ambitious : A new ambitious :
3 % of e-French market by 20203 % of e-French market by 2020
Market of 1 GW/year in 2013, with 3 GW installed in 2013
Market of 2 GW/year in 2020 with more than 13 GW installed in 2020 on/in building
New building : from 4% in 09 to 45% in 15 and 70% en 2020 Existing building : maxi of refresh building (up to 2% annually)

New standard :50kWh/ M² will enhance PV marketNew standard :50kWh/ M² will enhance PV market
o By 2011, new offices should consume less than 50 kWh/M²
o By 2013, All the new buildings should consume less than 50 kWh/m².
o By 2020 All the buildings, Energie ZERO, The buildings have to produce more energy than they consume.
o By 2050, the consumption of energy has to reach ¼ of what is today (energy law, 2005)
10 years guarantee for building technology 10 years guarantee for building technology
With the introduction of PV on/in building :- Insurance about “PV” product with EPERS : 10 years
guarantee for building technology (Civil Code n°1792), and responsibility for manufacturers with EPERS (Civil Code n°1792-4)
- Insurance ask for technical evaluation of the product & instructions to install it : cost time and money but necessary
- Great attention to durability, safety aspects …
