puriFlash® multifunctionalityThe higher pressure puriFlash® range has been utilised worldwide for diverse and problematic purification applications that standard flash systems are unable to address.

Interchim’s high pressure units allow for a simple switching from a standard flash cartridge through to reduced micron, high pressure high speed cartridge and ultimately to stainless steel semi-preparative & preparative HPLC columns.

This capability creates a system that serves a laboratory’s or department’s multifunctional demand - from routine, day to day, clean-up procedures to more complex purifications as experienced by a number of our clients with crude mixtures or enantiomers.

Capital equipment that can serve a diverse range of projected and unforseen applications provides organisations with extensive cost savings for potential multiple system purchases and flexibility within their purification capability.

Flash to preparative transposition (Univ Munich)30 micron 40 Gram flash transposed to 10 micron prep LC (250 x 10mm)

The entry level modular puriFlash® 210 supports classic demand for mainstream automated purification. puriflash® 430 & 450 modular systems have 30 & 50 bar pressure capability respectively, delivered by a dual piston pump that provides unparalleled accuracy and robustness for solvent delivery in the flash environment. SPOT II utilizes the same patented pump within a classic chassis. These 3 systems form the heart of new system capability providing enhanced flash purification through cartridge silica/ media developments and semi-preparative and preparative applications. puriFlash® 800 delivers flow rates up to 800ml / min through modifications to the pump and solvent mixing chamber.

Interchim’s patented pump is at the heart of the purification process in the higher pressure systems.

puriFlash® 430, 450 and SPOT II systems deliver unparalleled accuracy in the flash environment. The dual piston patented pump offers true low volume flow rates to 1ml / min within an accuracy of +/- 1% and up to 50 bar pressures at 250ml/ min flow rates in the 450 system.

puriFlash® Pump

puriFlash® Cartridge Holder

Dual piston pumps facilitate:

• greater accuracy, reproducibility and reliability.

• a constant flow rate whatever the system pressure.

• no need to place solvent bottles above the pump

True quaternary gradient(5 independent valves)

No cross contamination of solvents

High pressure mixing chambersmooth gradient variations

The puriFlash® range carries an integrated cartridge holder which holds flash cartridges from 4 -to- 330 gram sizes (optional on a 210 system).

An optional extension kit is available for larger cartridges (supplied as standard on the 450 system).

The puriFlash® 450 is also supplied with a pre-column holder for a dry or pre-load cartridge and the Interchim Load & GoTM automated loop injection valve which manages liquid and solid injection with column equilibration.

Key/ Unique features:

• Interactive & customisable user interface

• Define report format parameters

• TLC to flash transposition• Auto gradient optimisation• Intelligent continuous mode• Dual wavelength triggered

collection• Timed auto shut-off• Air Purge

The puriFlash® fraction collector for the modular 210, 430 and 450 systems benefits from 4 front loading racks that maximise sample volume collection, flexibility and ease of use.

UV detection is supplied as standard with all Interchim systems. The entry level 210 system is supplied with a fixed wavelength (254nm std). The rest of the range is supplied with an adjustable 200 - 600nm wavelength with dual wavelength collection. This can be increased to 840nm as an option. Flow cell optimal length is 0.3mm (1.3mm for SPOT II).

Interchim optional ELSD is exclusively optimised to flash applications and offers key features:

• Flash specific nebulizer to avoid clogging from flash grade solvents• Signal optimisation to avoid saturization from flash sample loading • Operational through version 5 software (mid-summer 2011)
