We believe in the avoidance of all synthetic ingredients, and the use of only 100% certified organic botanicals in our products to create true food for your skin. Our water-free formulation means one jar of Mokosh moisturiser is equivalent in potency to up to 5 jars of water-based alternatives, which contain up to 80% water.
The absence of water in our products means they are skin care concentrates.

No preservativesWater-based products require preservatives to stop the growth of microorganisms. These preservatives are powerful antimicrobials that can adversely affect the microbiome and overall health of your skin.
No emulsifiersEmulsifiers allow water and oil to blend in water-based products. Unfortunately, these detergent-like molecules can also interfere with your skin’s barrier function, reducing hydration and making it more prone to irritation.
No synthetic ingredientsSome commonly used synthetic ingredients have been found to have harmful effects on our health and the environment. We believe the safest skin care comprises pure botanical ingredients in their natural form.

The Mokosh approach to formulating skin care is informed both by the latest scientific findings and Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. Each botanical ingredient is selected for its potent nutrient content and ability to support and optimise skin health.
ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS
Our face and body moisturisers are enriched with essential fatty acids. In moisturisers, the omega-6 fatty acids are particularly important because they can be incorporated into the skin’s lipid barrier. The barrier function of the skin is vital for the health of all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin, where a deficiency is thought to be one of the key triggers for acne.
ANTIOXIDANTS
We are exposed to sunlight, pollutants and other molecules that generate the free radicals which are known to accelerate the skin’s ageing. We have selected botanicals with a broad range of antioxidants in potent form, in particular pro-vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, and a range of polyphenols, that protect from the damaging effects of free radicals.
ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES
Many of the botanicals used in our products have proven anti-inflammatory effects. These help to calm the skin from irritation, protect its structure and restore health.
OTHER BENEFICIAL BOTANICALS
Our ingredients contain molecules that have other benefits to the skin, including the prevention of collagen and elastin breakdown, absorption of UV light, and promotion of skin healing.

We have implemented a ‘no synthetics’ policy for our skin care range due to health concerns about many of the ingredients used in virtually all skin care. Only our soaps, which cannot be made without lye, contain a man-made ingredient. We believe our ‘no synthetics’ stance is the reason so many of our customers report a dramatic improvement in the health and appearance of their skin.

FACE The Mokosh daily facial regime combines luxury and simplicity, allowing your skin’s natural radiance to emerge.
MAKEUP REMOVER & CLEANSING OIL
This dual purpose oil is made using four carefully selected oils, delivering a high level of omega-6 fatty acids, pro-vitamin A, and vitamin E, as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It efficiently removes makeup and dissolves dirt, impurities and excess oil and can help to normalise sebum in oily skins.
For makeup removal, use a cotton face pad, avoiding entry of the product into eyes. For oil cleansing, use a full pump of product and gently massage over the face for a few minutes, then remove by pressing a warm water-rinsed flannel onto the skin. Rinse the flannel in warm water and repeat until the oil is present at a comfortable level.

FACIAL CLEANSER, EXFOLIATOR & MASK
This 3-in-1 keeps the skin fresh and eliminates superficial debris. It gently cleanses, exfoliates and prepares the skin for improved absorption of the moisturiser to follow, while also functioning as a calming and detoxifying mask. It is rich in anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatories, humectants, minerals and water-soluble vitamins, which collectively build resilience in the skin.
To cleanse and exfoliate, take ½-1 teaspoon of powder and add water to make a smooth paste. Gently massage using small circular motions without applying pressure. Rinse thoroughly. For use as a mask, prepare as above and leave for 10-15 minutes.

PURE HYDROSOL TONER
A simple, pure blend of damask rose and lemon balm hydrosols, this calming mist has anti-inflammatory properties, helps balance sebum and restores skin pH. It is the perfect base upon which to apply our water-free moisturisers.

As our lightest moisturiser, this low-comedogenic serum is perfect for oily and combination skin. It is also suitable for all skin types as a light nourishing eye and neck serum. It is enriched with omega-6 fatty acids which can be deficient in oily and acne-prone skin and may help normalise sebum, reduce inflammation and repair the skin’s barrier. It delivers a broad array of antioxidants and vitamins that protect against the damaging effects of free radicals, promoting healthy, radiant skin.
