Puppy Pit Stop

We have had some safety concerns regarding dogs in our school yard. Dogs are not

allowed to run off the lead in the school grounds and should be restricted to our “Puppy

Pitstop” area on the top terrace. Please remember, not all kids like dogs and can be

frightened, no matter how friendly the dog.

Raffle tickets will be sold just outside the office foyer in the coming weeks. Some prizes associated with this raffle include; a Contours 12 month gym membership valued at $750, a bean bag with built in speakers, hand vac, an eski, and Coffee Machines

and many more!

Thank you to all the families that came along on Saturday to our working bee to help tidy up the grounds and put some finishing touches on a few projects. We really appreciate the time that our families put aside to help with working bees, fundraising events, uniform shop, sick bay clean up etc. We have so many roles to fill in our day that sometimes we just need a little bit of help and it’s very heart warming to see parents out in the yard weeding at school drop off/pickup or coming in to tidy up lost property or sick bay , without having to be asked. Well

done Mano Community!

Playspace Stage 2—Unfortunately the previous builder of our amazing new playground has become super busy and unable to design/construct the next stage. We have finally found another company who are working with me to draw up some plans for the area (Strachan

Ave end of Narmbool St). It all sounds very exciting and I look forward to sharing them with you once approved by School Council.

If you haven’t noticed already, have a look at our fabulous Concert board out the front of the school! Students and staff are very excited and practising enthusiastically for this year’s Concert—Mano’s Fire & Ice Spectacular. Tickets will be sold online via Trybooking (link to come

later) from 20th August, 4 tickets per family with the possibility of extra tickets available. Hope to see you all there!

Appreciations to:

Alex Ellis & Kim Huntly for taking on the AASC Co-ordinator roles once again. The sewing crew for putting some amazing costumes together for our School Concert! Jane Donohue for organising the up-coming Fathers/Special Persons Day stall. A big thank you to the following families who helped out at our Working Bee on Saturday: Cooper, Thornton, Birley, Howie, Nolan ,

Benson, Tatchell, Burrows, Castle and Hurst

Communication is vital – Keep reading the newsletter! Be on time, Be at school, that’s the rule!

Can you Help? Headlice Checks

Can you help us? In line with our Parent Managed Headlice Program, we are seeking a co-ordinator and

volunteer parents to take on the management of head lice checks each Term. If you are able to take on this

voluntary role or would like to volunteer as a headlice checker, please see Kylie and Anna in the office. In

order for our Parent Managed Head Lice Policy to work, volunteer parents are vital.
