After having our media teacher review the work we have so far, he gave us a list of improvements. One of the ideas he came up with was a using a puppet. As the message we are trying to get across to our audience is that we are products of society and are controlled by certain ideologies. Therefore we arranged a make- up artist to create the puppet look we were going for and picked a day to shoot which was Wednesday the 11th.

We already had the idea to represent society using a shadow as we could easily manipulate it’s size. By shining a torch light on the wall of a small dark room gave us a really good colour contrast between the backdrop and the the puppet, which helped with the quality of the shadow and turned out even better in black and white.

As seen in the picture the shadow manipulates the puppet, we thought this was a more artistic way to interpret the element of control rather than using string. As we are currently editing this we have seen that the outcome is exactly how we wanted it and is effectively adding greater meaning to our video.

Bright white face and dark undertone to give the illusion of really high doll like cheeks.
