Chaplaincy Notices continued 'GO GREEN' for CAFOD HARVEST FAST DAY This year's CAFOD Harvest Campaign is titled 'Go Green for CAFOD' which is their Go Green challenge to support people and communities around the world who are doing what they can to protect God's creation. CAFOD boxes will be sent to forms to collect your coin donations. Whatever you can give as a form will be massively appreciated: £8 buys fruit trees, £33 supplies a family with clean fresh water. Coin boxes must be returned to the Chaplaincy office on 18th October. There will also be a Bake Sale held in the Drake Building next week Wednesday 6th to raise extra donations. Mr Marsden has agreed that we can wear something green to school on this day. .

Numeracy Challenge 4 Last year Mr Binns paid £240 for his home insurance. This year he has to pay £564.

Work out the percentage increase in the cost of Mr Binns’ home insurance.

There were 431 entries to the challenge last week, with around 25% of those entries being correct. Lucy Crook Williams, from 7 Cottam, was the lucky winner. She used the correct axes, on the left hand side, to estimate the highest rainfall was around 63mm and the lowest rainfall was around 33mm. Meaning the estimated difference was 30mm.

To enter the Weekly Numeracy Challenge complete the weekly test that is set on Firefly

Careers International Translation Day: Thursday 30th September Careers:

Mr. Marsden Thank you to all those of you who supported our Open Evening on Wednesday. Many staff and visitors have spoken to me about just how brilliantly you represented the school in different ways – whether it was helping out in departments, conducting tours or taking part in the musical performances. I am very proud of you all. A special thank you to Edie and James in Year 8, and our Head pupils Fergus and Isabella, for supporting me by speaking in the main presentation in the hall. This was a daunting task but they were fantastic ambassadors for you all. Have a lovely weekend. Mr Marsden
