INTRODUCTION

We Punjab industrial Works Private Ltd. an ISO 9001:2008 certified Company was established in 1984 and was primarily in production for Sheet-metal Jobs, Pre-fabricated Shelters based on modular concept of Wall Panels and Roof Panels We entered in the field of Loco Superstructure in the year 1985. We have developed variety of superstructures for BHEL Jhansi from 1985 and became regular suppliers for these items for BHEL by developing various types of superstructure for BHEL Jhansi (i.e. superstructure for DC electric Engine, AC Electric Engine, AC/DC Electric Engines, 2600 HP - Diesel Locomotives, 700 HP with SPP Diesel Engine, 700HP with TPP Diesel Engine, 350 HP - diesel Engine etc.). In 1996, DLW Varanasi decided to sublet the work of manufacturing of superstructure. Seeing our performance with BHEL and on strong recommendation by BHEL Jhansi, we got the First order of 18 superstructures for WDP-2 Loco Engines. The1st prototype Long Hood of WDP-2 Loco Engines was delivered in a remarkable time of three months. We also developed the 1st prototype superstructure for WDG-4 (i.e. Long hood for General Motor) within two months. RITES LIMITED selected us for manufacturing and erection of superstructures for their POH project of MG Loco in Bangladesh. We became a regular supplier for variety of superstructures and allied items for DLW Varanasi from 1996 onwards (i.e. WDG-4, Cab Structure Assembly, Wider Cab, Dual Cab, Fuel tanks, water tanks etc.). In end on 2008 DLW came up with an aerodynamic design for a cab, the prototype for the same was developed by us before schedule D.P of 3 months allotted to us by DLW. In 2010 we develop a new concept designed by DLW Varanasi that has two cabs instead of one called “The Dual cab”. The 1st prototype was delivered within schedule time allotted to us. Amongst the several developed parties in India in 2011 we developed the first Stainless Steel superstructure for Sri-Lanka for RITES LIMITED (Expo tech Division) within a remarkable time of two months. Another Prestigious superstructure & cab for WDG5 (i.e. A High Powered Diesel Engine) Designed by E.M.D of G.M America was developed by us with in 2months for our client M/S DLW Varanasi. A list of various locomotive superstructure and similar items manufactured and delivered by us is attached in our company profile. Apart from Locomotive superstructure and similar items our company is manufacturing other prestigious products such as:

i) Fabricated Bo-Bo Bogies. ii) C.N.C Machine Guards. iii) Prefab accommodations iv) Construction Electrical Winches v) Loco Superstructure of various designs. vi) Oil Fuel Tanks.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND MACHINE SHOP

Currently the factory consists of 90,000 sq feet covered area with all facilities and has an expansion capability. The Machine shop in suitable for maintenance works and has the following equipment’s currently:

Ø CNC Sheering, press Break & power press Section Ø CNC bending and cutting Machines Ø Plasma Cutting equipment Ø SMAW & FCAW Melding equipment Ø Lathe Machines Ø Compressed Air systems for Drilling & grinding.

OUR MAJOR CLIENTS

I. Indian Defence (Vehicles & Engg. OP Works) Ø To C.V.D. Delhi we enrolled ourselves as manufacture of specialized vehicle bodies like

RRA Vehicle, water Tank ERS and Luxury Bus Bodies etc. Ø To Tank manufacturing division at Avadhi, we manufactured and supplied an oscillating

Jig, which is hydraulically operated and electrically for setting reduction gears at different angles and elevations.

Ø For the high altitude in Srinagar zone where it is difficult to construct ordinary structure, we supply them our product (P.B.S.) 1.e. Pre- Fabricated building system, which involves Pre- Fabricated shelters based on modular concept of wall panels and roof panels

II. B.H.E.L.

Ø For their Locomotive works we have developed and supplied the fabricated Bo-Bo-Bogies which involves heavy fabrication with Plates up to 55mm' and within the tolerance of 1.6mm diagonally for pivot.

Ø For their Mill And Coal Bunker works up to 660 MW capacity Power Projects.

III. H.M.T. Limited, Pinjore

Ø For their Machine tool division, we are supplying them the C.N.C. machine Guards and similar items to protect the splashing of coolant outside the' machine. The doors of the same are pneumatically controlled and are totally leak proof.

IV. PCP International Ltd., Chandigarh Ø We supplied them our product (P.B.S.) i.e. Pre-Fabricated building system, which

involves Pre-fabricated shelters based on modular concept of wall panels and roof panels.

Ø We supplied them with several series of Electrical Winches (1 Ton to 10 Ton).

V. DLW Varanasi Ø For their Locomotive works we have developed and supplied several types of

Superstructures (i.e. Long Hood (WDG-4, Dual Cab, WDG-5 etc.) also supplied various Cab Structures (Alco Cab, Wider Cab (Aerodynamic cab), Dual Cab, WDG-5 Cab structure Assembly etc.).

Ø We supplied them with Fuel tanks of different sizes (i.e. 3000, 5000 & 6000 Liters.), Water tanks (Both Mild steel and Stainless steel etc.)

VI. RITES Limited Ø For their Locomotive works we have developed and supplied several types of

Superstructures (i.e. Long hood ALCO superstructure, Long Hood (WDM-2) etc.) Ø We also developed Stainless Steel Superstructure (Cab structure, Long hood of ALCO

design) for RITES Limited Expo tech division for Sri-Lanka.
