Espa Pumps (UK) Ltd, have been building booster and Pressurisation sets for over twenty years and have
been supplying pumps, as a subsidiary of tne ESPA Group, since 1990. All booster & pressurisation sets
are built fully tested and all have a documented performance at our UK premises in Manningtree, Essex.
Our booster & pressurisation sets are built to the highest traditional principals of quality engineering
whilst at the same time always looking at costs, resulting in a cost saving that can be passed on to you
or your clients.
ESPA offers a large range of solutions in pumping requirements for automatic water supply in housing,
apartment blocks, service buildings, hotels, hospitals, agricultural and industrial process.
All of our booster sets come as standard on a steel chassis which is epoxy coated with anti vibration
mountings fixed underneath and in each corner.
The frequency converters used in our CKA variable speed booster sets are made by Danfoss and
they conform to the requirements of the EU directive relating to EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility
EN50081-2). They are approved on the Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme.
The stainless steel pumps, valves and pressure vessels that we use have a W.R.A.S approved reference
number and other components, using the same materials as used in the manufacture of W.R.A.S
certified equipment.
Each set comes with a two year warranty from date of invoice.
We offer a first class back up service, our service department being an hour away from the center of
London. We also have the facility to use other engineers in different areas of the country so that we have
good service coverage of the UK.
We operate our own quality control system, which enables us to trace back any component used in the
manufacture of one of our sets.
ESPA booster & pressurisation sets are an equal and approved packaged set.

Aquabox Building Services
Compact storage tank and pressurisation unit (with air gap)
Aquabox is ESPA’s advanced solution for buildings with low pressure or volumes of flow. It is a competitive, efficient alternative to traditional pressurisation units, eliminating the typical fluctuations in flow, complex mechanical designs and their excessive electrical consumption.Aquabox is a compact, well proportioned pressurising unit, with an integrated design and maximum energy efficiency. It comprises two basic elements: a latest-generation automatic ESPA pump and a storage tank. The result of the advanced engineering of these two components combined is an innovative unit offering high levels of convenience in water use, guaranteeing not only its permanent availability (even when the water supply is cut off), but also strong, regular, constant pressure. The 200 ltr tank can be used as a backup system in the event of restrictions on the use of water from the mains. In line with regulation EN 1717, the outer casing incorporates a safety partition to safeguard against the pollution of drinking water.
Applications Aquabox is multi-purpose and can be used on sites with water supply problems. Rural areas: second homes, village dwellings, rural tourism, etc. Urban areas: housing developments, houses, commercial premises, restaurants, etc.
Model: Aquabox 350 Acuaplus N Incorporating the reliable advanced electronic Espa speed driver, which enables the submersible pump to operate at variable speeds while automatically regulating itself to maintain constant pressure according to needs. Besides saving energy, this technological innovation makes minimal noise and provides remarkable regularity in the water supply flow.

Centrifugal multi-stage with speed control
A horizontal, multiphase, centrifugal pump with electronic regulation for changing speed and with built-in pressure sensor. It contains a device for detecting and protecting against dry operation, with sequential re-starts in event of failure. Absorbs water hammer effect on the installation.

A fully automatic unit, the Sub-Tank has a submersible stainless steel pump with a built-in pressure controlincorporated into the break tank givingspace saving advantages in small plant rooms. An in-line inverter with built in pressure transducer provides control. Electronics prevent pump starting without water and the digital displays online pump operation, standby and fault status. Installation is straightforward, with only three connections required.
LimitationsThe pressure vessel requires a pre-charge with air 0.3 -0.5 bar below the working pressure. ESPA offers a large range of solutions to provide the best answer to th more challenging applications in pumping requirements
for automatic water supply in housing, service buildings, hotels, hospitals, agricultural and industrial process.
ESPA evaluates, designs, and manufactures booster sets for the automatic supply water. The ESPA range of products can
be adapted to the installation requirements. The ESPA Applications Engineering Department adjusts the standard range
of ESPA booster sets to the specific requirements in every installation.
The standard range of ESPA booster sets offers several posibilities of mechanical configuration and various operational
systems: fixed sped DOL, variable speed, duty assist in cascade operation or duty pumps with reserve pumps, all of them
ready to give the best solution to the pumping needs in each installation. Each standard model has been designed for a
main application. As a result, the standard ranges of ESPA sets has ben designed from the smallest and compact sets for
domestic applications, booster sets for collective uses and the largest for commercial or utilities applications. Evidently,
every set can be adapted to any specific demand: industrial, irrigation, etc.
The standard range of booster sets in variable speed or fixed speed present twin pumps booster sets, 3 or 4 pumps in duty - assist
configuration or duty assist - standby pumps. A part from the standard range of 4 pumps the ESPA control panels are designed to
control the operation up to 8 pumps, variable speed and fixed speed in any operation system required.
The standard range includes horizontal and vertical multisage pumps. These pumps are manufactured in stainless steel
materials (AISI 304 or AISI 316 optional). All wet components in the booster sets (valves, fittings, manifolds and expansion
vessels) are made in suitable materials for drinking water, brass or stainless steel, and the joints and seals composed with
materials accepted for the WRAS requirements.
ESPA offers the best solutions in energy saving using variable speed pump controlers. The target of these controllers is to drive
the booster set at the BEP (Best Efficient Point in the performance curve) for any flow demand in the installation.
According with the technical specifications, ESPA can be assemble different mechanical configuration of booser sets. The
ESPA Engineering Application Service is ready to design and manufacture customised solutions for any required application,
modifying the standard range increasing the flow, the heat or changing operation mode. If any other operational system
is needed. ESPA can provide different types os booster sets; fro example, constant flow booster sets using variable speed
devices and proportional flow-meters instruments for special applications as for example golf course irrigation.
The ESPA Applications Engineering Department offers the assistance service for booster set selection and sizing, also analysis
the best option in LCC (Life Cycle Cost). The ESPA after Sells Service offes, on request, the commissioning and the aid for the
maintenance to keep the booster set and the installation in the best point of efficiency and reliability.
ESPA has also a standard range of fire fighting booster set designed manufactured and tested according several rules as
EN 12845 and European fire organizations as APSAD or CEPREVEN or other technical homologations as NFPA 20. The standard
range includes duty standby and jockey pump, electric motor or engine driven pumps.
