BauerThis is the company’s main website, it looks appealing and very attractive and makes the audience know that they are confident and are hardworking by stating that they are ‘#1 seller of magazines at retail in the country’. The mixture of colours on the first page represent the variety of magazines they are working with and that they publish. They seem proud that they are involved with lots of different magazines and projects by making statements like ‘we think popular’ as if they are inviting the audience to confine in them. On the bottom right hand page the websites have links which straight away is telling the audience how to contact them and how to get involved with their work and what they do.

Which magazines do Bauer publish?

Bauer's publishes all different types of magazines, they publish: music, fashion, women, fitness, car, gossip, sport magazines. They also publish through radio, phones and television. This could be helpful for my work as they work with a huge variety of different genres that entertain and inform different ages. However, they only work with 3 music magazines which won’t give me many samples to look at and to inspire from.

Future PLCThis is the main website for Future publishing, again here it is outlined that they are the ‘Digital publisher of the year’ just like Bauer did. This makes the audience more interested as the company seems confident and proud that they are been selected in to this particular catergory There are also different company's that they have decided to advertise to show that they have chosen Future as the Digital Publisher of the year. For example The British Media Awards. Below this statement there is a sub-heading titled ‘Welcome to Future plc’ and there is an introduction to who they are and what they do and are involved in. This again defines that they are confident and that they are inviting other big company’s to work and participate with them.

What do Future Publish?

Future publish a wide range of magazines which would help me because they have a huge range of different examples and sample, and wide range of audiences. This could be helpful because I could gain ideas from them, and use their ideas to mix and link things with each other. The fact that they publish so many magazine also means that they have huge audiences and lots of readers that buy the magazines they publish.

I pick Bauer because they have magazines such a Kerrang and know how to advertise and appeal to the audience with rock music. However they don’t publish a music magazine that specifically tailors to female music readers. I want to fill in a niche with the company to appeal the female readers that are neglected by other magazines.
