Mission
Early in the 21st century, most chemical research from Asia was published in the West because there were no high-impact, highly visible pan-Asian chemistry journals.
Upon encouragement of Ryoji Noyori, representatives of chemical societies from all over Asia met in 2005 to found the Asian Chemical Editorial Society ACES and Chemistry – An Asian Journal.
ACES ...
• Upholds the highest ethical and quality standards in publishing
• Fosters its Asian roots while attracting international authors and readers
• Connects society partners in a modern publishing forum
• Continuously develops its top international journals together with Wiley-VCH
• Supports local activities through journal royalties
