A Note From One Of Our Readers:
I really appreciated the article about Billy Joe Burnette. You know Roy, I really
have the greatest respect for Billy Joe. Not only is he a great entertainer and
producer but people sometimes forget what a great man Billy Joe has been in
the business. I remember when Mr. Deaton was on the verge of bankruptcy,
couldn't pay for his medications and was trying to recover from that first stroke,
it was Billy Joe who raised the money to take care of him. I think Billy raised
about $25,000 the first week and ended up raising over $50,000 for Mr. Deaton
just that one year.
I had an office in the building with Billy Joe for over 15 years and I can tell you
that he was the most generous, kind man that I have ever worked with. He al-
ways gave his clients more than they paid for. Just before Mr. Fach died, Billy
and I fed him over at O'Charley's in Hermitage. Charlie Fach is another man
who owed his life financially to Billy Joe. The magazine is impressive and the
story about Billy is incredible. It made me recall the best memories of my life. There are few people in this business
that I have such great respect and admiration for. Billy Joe is the best of what this business is all about.

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist John Enghauser
In a New York (City) State of Mind on his New Album
The ten-song, as-yet-untitled disc represents some of John's edgiest songwriting to date -
due in no small part to his relocation last year from the relatively laid-back confines of
San Francisco to his new home, "The City That Never Sleeps," New York City. The al-
bum was recorded at studio Fifty311 in Los Angeles with Joerg Stoeffel at the controls.
Some Of The New Songs With Comments From John
"Reality" - A satirical look poking fun at Reality TV stars and wannabees...their issues
and insecurities...more specifically, about a delusional reality wannabe who thinks that by
becoming famous they'll make the significant other that they just dumped feel regret.
"Black Dress" - About a beautiful woman in a black dress I once saw...the dress itself is the fortress that I cannot
penetrate to get to what I desire.
"We Hear Your Cry" - I wrote this lyric as a poem when I saw the news a couple of years ago about the stolen votes
in Iran and reflecting on thirty years of oppression there. Giving them some hope in saying that the world is watch-
ing and we're on your side.
"Keep Your Jacket On" - A straight-ahead blues tune that is a showstopper when played live, about a man whose
arrogant girlfriend has been fooling around on him, and he tells her to get the hell out!
"Tears Of Yesterday" - Mid-tempo jazzy shuffle with horns, asking our predecessors if they would have made the
same environmental mistakes in hindsight.

BELLAMY BROTHERS
INSTATED AS HONORARY TEXAS RANGERS
PG 5 www.countryentertainmentusa.com
Legendary country music duo the Bellamy
Brothers were recently inducted into an equally
legendary organization, The Former Texas
Rangers Foundation. The foundation is made
up of members who served as Texas Rangers
and have now retired. The Bellamys were pre-
sented with plaques, badges, and pins making
them honorary Texas Rangers.
The relationship between the Bellamys and the
Texas Rangers was initially formed when the
Bellamys played the foundation‟s Silver Star
Gala in the fall of 2011. The Rangers were so
impressed with the performance that they de-
cided to honor the country crooners by making
them their own.
“We were stunned when they told us,” says Howard Bellamy. “The Texas Rangers are such a classic image in the
American west.”
David Bellamy adds, "Every boy dreams of being a Texas Ranger and now we have the badges to prove it.”
The Texas Rangers were unofficially formed in 1823 when Stephen F. Austin employed 10 men to protect American
families settling in Texas after the Mexican War of Independence. They became an official law enforcement agency
in 1835 making the Rangers the 2nd oldest of all state-level law enforcement agencies. The Rangers dealt with some
of the most memorable criminal cases of the Old West including John Wesley Harding and Bonnie and Clyde. They
have also been the subject of much fictional work from pulp novels to the television show, Walker, Texas Ranger.
Throughout their 30 plus year career, the multi-platinum selling Bellamy Brothers have charted 14 #1 Hits on the
US country and pop music charts. Hits like "Let Your Love Flow," "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would
You Hold It Against Me)," "Redneck Girl," and "Old Hippie" helped to make the brothers household names. Today,
their seamless harmonies remain perfectly intact as they continue to travel the United States and European tour cir-
cuits, performing over 180 dates each year.

Jeffery Deaver • XO The Album
www.JefferyDeaverXOmusic.com
XO The Album includes songs from the bestselling novel, XO by Jeffery Deaver. Performed by
Treva Blomquist, these songs are well-produced and compliment her solid vocals particularly on
the ballads like “Fire And Flame.” Jeffery wrote the lyrics and music was composed by Clay
Stafford and Ken Landers. This CD will be particularly poignant to readers of the XO novel.
Kris Miller • The Journey Home
www.KrisMillermusic.com
Kris Miller offers inspiration and hope in this album filled with self-penned tunes. From the be-
ginning song, “He Is That He Is” to the final song, “Great Shakening” (performed by Grace
Lister), she carries the “strength and encouragement” theme throughout. One can hear a Califor-
nia influence in her style as she delivers each song with a heart for the Lord.
PG 8 www.countryentertainmentusa.com
In modern history, the United States has faced many challenges - from the loss of nearly
3000 people in the horrific 9/11 planned attacks on New York City and Washington, DC to
the more recent movie theater tragedy in Aurora, Colorado where 12 lives were lost - yet de-
spite all the devastation and heartache that has happened, one thing remains constant – the
undaunted American spirit! Neighbors, friends, families and strangers have come together to
meet the needs of those struggling to rebuild shattered lives. Contemporary Christian artist,
Tobi Gordon exemplifies that undying spirit. With her music ministry, she is bringing fami-
lies together and healing hearts all across America.
From Edmond, Oklahoma, Tobi began her career by singing in church, children‟s camps and major sports game ap-
pearances. In 2001, she was chosen to perform in Europe as an Oklahoma mu-
sic ambassador, while slated to play flute in the band, at the last minute, she
chose to sing the song “Be Thou My Vision” a cappella. She remembers her
thoughts after that performance, “I can minister to so many more people. I real-
ized this could be my mission field - singing for all these people.” That deci-
sion changed her vision forever and has now put her squarely in the national
spotlight. With the release of her album, Let‟s Sing America, she has received
rave reviews, earning five stars from the Billboard reviewers as well as notable
quotes from Rolling Stone who recognized her as “the best family oriented star
since Brenda Lee” and an ABC Radio programmer in New York calling the
project, “the best healing CD I have ever heard since the nation went through
9/11.” The CD, produced by Nashville record producer, Robert Metzgar, in-
cludes songs by some of the music industry‟s finest songwriters including Bill
& Gloria Gaither and Tom Shapiro. When that quality of material is mixed
with Tobi‟s heartfelt vocals, there is musical magic - which reflects her strong
faith in God, as well as her belief in American values and family.
But Tobi‟s faith-filled commitment is about more than singing and
she adds an even more hands on approach to her ministry. She is
studying to be a sign language interpreter. Admittedly an introvert,
she has struggled being in the spotlight, but as she notes her studies
have made a difference, “My signing really helps support my sing-
ing because until I started signing, I was always the really nervous
type that would just stand in the front and not really do anything
when I was singing, just stand really still. But once I got into sign
language and was able to show all those expressions and able to
harness that that I use for sign language and bring that out while
I‟m singing.” Now more comfortable on stage, her talent continues
to grow and expand.
As a part of her personal spiritual journey, Tobi is dedicated to
helping handicapped and terminally ill children with summer
camps, music scholarships and getting them to be all they can be
musically. Each year, she and her husband work to send approximately 250 children to camp - all supported by their
music ministry.

Tobi Gordon
PG 9 www.countryentertainmentusa.com
When learning of the recent shootings in Colorado, Tobi rushed to help.
With her music, she is touching hearts and souls with her song “All Across
The Country, This Country Needs The Cross” being aired in heavy rotation
on some Denver Christian radio stations and her album has been made
available to all the families affected by this tragedy. Plus in conjunction
with the Nazarene churches in the greater Denver area, Tobi, as well as nu-
merous other artists, are donating monies from album sales to help the vic-
tims in Aurora – all monies raised are combined in the Mayor‟s non-profit
fund and to date all monies raised total over two million dollars!
Tobi‟s latest release from her album
Let‟s Sing America, “The Eagle,” is
again adding even more recognition
to her already fast-rising musical
career. The song is currently in the
Top-40 on the New Music Weekly
Hot Country Singles Chart and in
the “bubbling under” category of the
Top 200 Billboard Christian single releases.
A bright shining star on the horizon, Tobi Gordon, is using her notoriety, tal-
ent and heart to follow her God-given purpose. But perhaps, the words to the
title-cut of her album, “Let‟s Sing America,” which was released on the 10th
Anniversary of 9/11, describes her life the best, “I can‟t imagine life without
a song; When I sing a happy tune…the dark clouds depart; It soothes my troubled soul and give me hope to carry
on; Where would this world be without a song.”
With a true American spirit and an enduring faith in God, Tobi Gordon will go far beyond her own expectations in
her quest to touch the lives of those that are hurting by offering hope and inspiration to all Americans!

If the ace mechanic who kept Hazzard County rolling is correct, a weekend in Au-
gust in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia is going to be a turbo-charged delight
for the faithful fans of “The Dukes of Hazzard”. Ben Jones, the former Congress-
man who played “Cooter” on the ever-popular family show is putting together an-
other “Hazzard Homecoming” extravaganza on the weekend of August 11th and
12th in picturesque Rappahannock County, Virginia, and according to him,
“Hazzard Nation is rising again!”
“Our whole cast is going to attend,” he says, “and that doesn‟t happen very often.
It‟s been a few years since we all saw each other at one time, and this might be the
last time we get to share a stage together. John Schneider, Tom Wopat, Catherine
Bach, James Best, Sonny Shroyer and Rick Hurst will all join in the fun. So this is
not only special for the fans, it is also very special for us.”
Jones should know these things because he and his wife Alma Viator have spent much of the last fourteen years en-
joying the continuing success of all things Hazzard. They have two popular “Cooter‟s Place” venues in Gatlinburg
and Nashville, Tennessee, and he tours annually with “Cooter‟s Garage Band”, a Southern country-rock combo. Ben
and Alma also created DukesFest, the mega-event that peaked when more than 100,000 fans flocked to Nashville in
2007.
“We kicked back after that,” Viator says. “We both wanted to do
something more laid-back and down-home. Something more like a
county fair back in Hazzard.” The result was Hazzard Homecoming, in
a bucolic rural setting in the mountain county where the Joneses live.
“There are only about 6,500 folks in Rappahannock County and we
don‟t even have a stoplight. Last year for two days the Homecoming
added about 10,000 to the population here. But everything went off
without a hitch, and everybody had a ball. We even had a bunch of
folks from Europe.”
This year the event will be held at the Ben Venue Racecourse, located
at the intersection of Highway 211 and State Road 729, near historic
Washington, Virginia. “It‟s a beautiful spot and gives us a lot more
room than we‟ve had in the past. It will make folks think they are actu-
ally in Hazzard County, says Jones. “Except that we don‟t really drive
like that around here!” adds Viator.
HAZZARD HOMECOMING PROMISES TO BE A VERY SPECIAL REUNION
PG 13 www.countryentertainmentusa.com
Besides the cast, Hazzard Homecoming will feature two days of rockabilly, country, bluegrass, and gospel music.
The entertainment will include Grammy winner Dr. Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Stella Parton,
Southern rockers Silver Travis, Rockabilly icons Sonny Burgess and Sleepy LaBeef, and gospel legends The Lewis
Tradition. “And don‟t forget that John Schneider and Tom Wopat are world class country singers with a lot of hit
records to their credit. The concert itself will be worth the trip,” says “Cooter”.
Reached on the set of “The Young and the Restless” where she is guest starring, Catherine Bach, who played the
fetching “Daisy Duke”, echoed Jones‟ sentiments. “I can‟t wait to get back to the Homecoming! It is just plain old
fun, the kind we used to have when I was growing up in South Dakota. And it is in such a beautiful location. Even
though it is a very busy event, it seems sort of like a vacation in the country. I can‟t wait to see my „Dukes‟ family
and all of the fans who have supported us for so long.”
Besides personal appearances and stage performances by the cast and the other headliners, Hazzard Homecoming
will feature a Dukes Stunt Demonstration, American BMX Stunt Team with Keith King, a Hazzard County Car
Show including more than 50 “General Lees”, wrestling with legendary WWE Champion Jerry Lawler, a Saturday
night fireworks celebration, and lots of children‟s activities including rides, slides, and a country petting zoo.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” series, which originally aired from 1979 through 1985, continues to be a staple on Country
Music Television (CMT). “Each generation that comes along falls in love with it,” says Jones. “They never say
„The Dukes was a great show.‟ They always say „The Dukes is a great show.”
Tickets for Hazzard Homecoming August 11 & 12 are on sale now at www.cootersplace.com. Advance tickets are
$25 for Saturday and Sunday, or $20 for one day, plus a $2 handling charge. At the gate, a weekend pass is $30 and
a single day ticket is $25. Children 10 years and younger are free, as well as seniors 65 and over and U.S. service
men and women with military ID.
Hazzard Homecoming will be held at the Ben Venue Racecourse, located at 38 Ben Venue Road near Washington,
VA, 22747. For more information about the festival, call (615) 872-8358 or visit www.cootersplace.com.
