PUBLICATION SCREENSHOTS
Firstly I opened up Photoshop, I then typed ‘Rogue’ for my title. I typed my title in Arial Black.
I enlarged my title to make the title distorted and a unique size.
I then edited the layer style by ‘bevel and emboss’ this makes the text even more unique.
I then added the positioning statement.
I then added a barcode.
After I added the barcode I then added text for the price and issue number.
I added the main coverline.
I added a strip at the bottom containing more artists and bands.
I then added all my other coverlines.
I then re-edited my title, I added colour to the outline to make the title fit in with my colour scheme. I changed my positioning statement, issue date, issue number and price all to the same colour.
I then inserted my main image and because of the colours I now need to change the colour of my font.
I then added the image to the front cover. Due to the position and pose in the picture I had to edit my main cover line.
I then tried changing the coverlines colour.
I then started on my corrections. I used ‘bevel and emboss’ again to make my title more unique. I also started making my cover lines more dramatic by using capital letters, I did this for all of the cover lines.
I completed all of the changes of my cover lines.
I then edited a few of the cover lines to make them more interesting.
This is my final screenshot for my front cover production.
Contents Page Publication
Firstly I opened up Quark, I decided to add the text first, I started from the top and worked my way down.
This is all of the text for my contents page.
I then added a strip at the top of the page underneath the word ‘contents’ this is to bring the colour scheme onto the page. I also changed the colour of the words along the strip to make the contents less black and white.
I then added coloured strips behind every section on the contents page to make them stand out and break up the layout.
I then added my photographs.
I then got rid of the spaces between the images to make the contents page look more professional.
I then added a small Jpeg of the front cover to relate the front cover to the contents page.
This is the final screenshot for my contents page.
