Understanding Al-Quran and Reflection TowardsScience Discovery

Bismillah.....Alhamdulillah.Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

A very pleasant morning to honourable judges, timekeepers, supporter teachers, my friends who participates in this contest, ladies and gentlemen. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent and the Merciful. All praises be to Allah SWT, the lord of the world, the master of the day after, the creator of everything in this Universe, where has no partner. He has also given us such deeply enjoyable, particularly faith and healthy comfort, hence, we could attend here in a good situation. Peace and Salutation be upon our prophet Muhammad SAW, who has taught us the cardinal principles of the unity of God, obliged us to confess it with the tongue and believe it in the heart. He also has brought us from the darkness to the brightness

So, let us begin. Thank you to chairperson. A very good morning to our honourable judges, accurate timekeeper, and of course my charming beautiful friends. Let me introduce myself. My name is Hariz and Im from SAM Unwanus Saadah, Kanchong Darat. On this auspicious day, through this golden opportunity I would like to deliver my speech entitled Understanding Al-Quran and Reflection towards Science Discovery.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I would like to share to you the definition of my topic today. Understanding is the comprehension of a particular thing. Quran is the holy verses for every Muslims. It was revealed to an illiterate man; that is our beloved prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Reflection means to recognise themselves through science discovery while, towards in this title is used to indicate the direction faces by something near. Next, the word of science means intellectual and practical activity which is study of physical and natural world through observation and experiment. Discovery is the action or processes. So, the definition is concluded based on Surah Al-Fussilat verse 53 , He said we will show to them our signs in everywhere and for themselves, until it is clear to them about the truth of Quran.

My topic will be on truly exciting, fascinating and mysterious topic with the fact that this thing happens every day, every hour, every minute yet every second in all corners of the world and it has been happening since Allah created Adam and it will keep ongoing until the final second of our lives. This is the story of life, the story of the creation of human being.

Ladies and gentlemen,My first point is the greatest Islamic scholars. For your information, in ancient times, there are many scholars of Islam. For example Ibn Sina, Ibn Khaldun, Ibn Taimiyyah and many others. I would like to highlight Ibn Sina as example, this is because Ibn Sina is one of the foremost philosophers in the medieval Hellenistic Tradition. He is also the first doctor of Islamic world. Our scholars of Islam make observations and experiments such as determining the diameter of the earth, the nature of light, the sun and the stars and more. Their first recommendation is necessarily the Quran, because Quran is the perfect creation.

Ladies and gentlemen,Did you know how the clouds can pour the rain? Or how the mountains can fix firm?Almost all scientists impressed with Quran. Nobody can deny it. I can give you three examples of scientists who converted to Islam because of the Quran. First, is Demitri Bolykov. In his review as physicist, he believes that one day the sun will rise from the west. Secondly is Dr.Maurice Bucaille who is surprised when he was doing the research about Firaun. Third, is Jackques who found Islam in the ocean. So, who make Quran as their reference, they will believe that is the most worthy of worship and Islam is the religion of truth.

Ladies and gentlemen,My second point is ourselves as human, is actually a very wonderful creature. Based on surah Al-Thariq verse 86 .., He said now let man but think from what he is created, he is created from a drop emitted-proceeding from between the back bones and the ribs. The starting point in human reproduction is sexual intercourse. During this act, the male sex organ releases a small quantify of semen into the cervix of vagina. It has been shown that this semen contains 350,000,000 spermatozoa in one single ejaculation. Modern Biology has shown that only one spermatozoon out of the 350,000,000 spermatozoa is all that is needed for fertilisation to occur with the female egg. On the sixth week of development the bone structure begins to develop inside the embryo, and when the embryo reaches the fourth month, life has begun in it.

Ladies and gentlemen,Last but not least, we as Muslims must learn and understand Quran. Allah revealed the Quran as a guidance for human life. A lot of knowledge that we can find through the Quran especially science. In this epoch, we need to study science in our life because they are many benefit that we can take from it. So, let us all take this series of opportunities that exist as the reasons for studying Quran with more depth.
