    WelcomeDear Member,

The summer is upon us! We hope you find a respite from work, relaxation and much to enjoy. For CET & ThinkTV the end of June marks the end of our Fiscal Year. We are particularly mindful of those who make what we do possible and available to all in the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton communities. So, we close the year with a sincere Thank You to all of our Members throughout the region. Your support remains the largest single contributor to our (your!) public television stations and their unique programming and educational non-profit mission.

Each year in the June/July issue of Public Media Connect, we also acknowledge our generous Major and Planned gift donors. A list of these supporters can be found in the At Home with Your Public Media section.

On July 1st as we enter a new Fiscal Year, CET & ThinkTV launch newly re-designed websites for www.cetconnect.org and www.thinktv.org. You’ll find information in the At Home section about more user-friendly navigation and offerings on the new sites. Also in the At Home section, you’ll find information about possible service interruptions for some CET and ThinkTV viewers in early June. Periodic maintenance work on our transmission towers is required by federal regulations and can cause some viewers to lose our signal as the work is underway.

Now, let’s talk about programming. We’re closing out our Fiscal Year with music and much more. Join the Doobie Brothers Live at the Beacon Theatre and ASSIA Live in Concert. Prince: Rave Un2 captures his unique talent while Story Songs, will have you singing “Bye, Bye American Pie”, “The Cat’s in the Cradle” and more.

When Whales Walked: Journeys in Deep Time, follows scientists as they discover clues from fossils and use technology to make new discoveries. Then, A Capitol Fourth, broadcasts from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol to celebrate our nation’s birthday. And PBS Previews: Country Music allows you to hear the filmmakers and go behind the scenes of Ken Burns’ landmark new series.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, ThinkTV and CET kick off a Summer of Space with the premiere of Chasing the Moon (July 8 – 10), a three-part chronicle of the historic space race of the 1960s. Additional new and encore programming on space exploration will be broadcast through August, including Back to the Moon and 8 Days: To the Moon and Back. Ancient Skies and The Planets will celebrate history, discovery and our fascination with space.

Of course, there’s much more across all the CET and ThinkTV channels – and online. Thank you for supporting your public television stations.

Have a wonderful summer (and remember the sunscreen).

    All the best,

President & CEO CET and ThinkTV

    Connecting with CET

CET is excited to announce that a newly-redesigned website will launch on July 1, 2019. The new look will optimize the user experience on our site and make our local content, national PBS content and station information easier to find. The new design is cleaner and easier to use, whether you’re on a desktop, a tablet or a mobile device. We hope you love it and let us know if you have any feedback!

When CET program services have been restored you may need to rescan for channels in order to receive programs. For more information go online to www.CETconnect.org/rescan or call 513-345-6569.

ThinkTV is excited to announce that a newly-redesigned website will launch on July 1, 2019. The new look will optimize the user experience on our site and make our local content, national PBS content and station information easier to find. The new design is cleaner and easier to use, whether you’re on a desktop, a tablet or a mobile device. We hope you love it and let us know if you have any feedback!
