RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve the recommended appointment of Janet Renden to the Workforce Investment Board (WIB)
BACKGROUND:
A vacancy for a regular member on the Adams County Workforce Investment Board currently exists. Janet Renden, whose application and resume are attached, has expressed interest in the position, and has met with the WIB leadership and received their recommendation.
This appointment would satisfy the Workforce Investment Act requirement that the Board maintain at least two representatives of local educational entitites. The term of the appointment would be through January 31 , 2018.
Staff recommends approval.

RESOLUTION APPOINTING JANET RENDEN AS A MEMBER TO THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD
Resolution No.
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists for a member for the Workforce Investment Board; and,
WHEREAS, Janet Renden has expressed an interest in serving on the Workforce Investment Board; and
WHEREAS the Workforce Investment Board have interviewed all candidates deemed qualified; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners selected Janet Renden to fill this vacancy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, County of Adams, State of Colorado, that J arret Renden shall be appointed as a member of the Workforce Investment Board.

Attached please find the application, resume and resolution to appoint Janet Renden, Principal, Bollman Tech to the Adams County Workforce Investment Board. We are requesting her appointment to satisfy requirements in our bylaws:
a) To satisfy the requirement that the board maintain at least two
representatives of local educational entities.
b) To replace Stormie Baxter, Bollman Tech, who has resigned.
Ms. Renden has meet with the Workforce Investment Board leadership and has our endorsement for membership.
