There were thirty-nine (39) Auto B&Es reported during the same time frame in 2011. This is no percentage change from 2011 to 2012. The zone with the highest number of incidents was East 1 with twenty-one (21), or 54%. The reporting area with the highest number of incidents was B2 with twenty-one (21), or 54%. Thirty-two (32), or 82%, took place at residential locations. Thirty-three (33), or 85%, of the incidents involved unforced entry. Seventeen (17), or 44%, of the incidents were discovered on a Saturday. Fourteen (14), or 36%, were discovered between the hours of 0400 to 0759. Twenty-eight (28) incidents are open for further investigation and twelve (12) have been closed with leads exhausted. Historically , HPD has an average of 25 Auto B&Es during the month of November with a current threshold of 18 to 32. This November, we exceeded the threshold with 39 reported Auto B&Es. Forecast for December: The average number of Auto B&Es for the month of December  is 29 plus or minus 10.
