What is the relevance of this quote to us as language teachers?

Not only can the use of ICT motivate learners and support the delivery of the curriculum but also … ICT skills can be furthered.The ICT Core Curriculum on embedding ICT in other subject areas (www.ict4sfl.org.uk)

What is Numeracy? • the ability to:

– understand and use mathematical information

– calculate and manipulate mathematical information

– interpret results and communicate mathematical information.

Numeracy – the Core Curriculum

Number numbers and the number system and calculations.

Measures, Shape and Space

common measures of money, time, temperature, distance, length, weight, capacity, perimeter, area and volume, and shape and position.

Handling Data data and statistical measures, and probability.
