HiPace™ MC Turbopumps

Pfeiffer Vacuum continues to be committed to innovation. It was in this spirit that weextended the HiPace series of dependable, magnetically levitated turbopumps for your applications in coating, semiconductor industry and research & development.

What is HiPace MC?

HiPace MC is a line of magnetically levitatedturbopumps with integrated drive electronics that set a milestone. This notonly applies with respect to their especiallyhigh pumping speeds, high compressionand high gas throughput. Their magneticallylevitated bearings, which assure extremelylow vibration and maintenance-freeoperation, are the embodiment of top class technology.

Where are the advantages?

The innovative principle of integrated drive electronics finally avoids cumbersomeand costly cabling. Moreover, the HiPace MCturbopumps are extremely robust andsuitable for industrial applications. Anotherpositive feature that should be mentioned istheir integrated water cooling, which assuresoptimum heat dissipation for the pump andelectronics.

Are there additional advantages?

There definitely are, for example in the form of the integrated venting valve, whosepatented control concept enables HiPace MCturbopumps to be vented very quickly andautomatically. This combined venting/ sealing gas valve, which is operated by thedrive electronics, eliminates the need forseparate control lines, thus making a realcontribution to cost reductions. In addition,permanent monitoring of the rotor assuresstable and reliable operation.

And last but not least!

The modern design of these pumps offers impressive visual appearance andfunctionality. To no small degree, theircoated rotors and integrated sealing gasvalves make the HiPace MC pumps suitablefor use with corrosive gases. Their innova-tive rotor design, without a Holweck orGaede stage, offers an optimum perform-ance envelope for both light and heavy gas-es. This affords trouble-free employment inprocesses that generate particulates.
