In a larger company it can be a very time consuming job, to maintain consumables, orders, gather page counters or track errors. It is important, that the needed consumable parts are available on time, and that there is no big stock of consumables.That is exactly the point where PSM fits into your environment.

What PSM can do for you..

PSM keeps track of all consumables in your printers and it can send automatically orders to the suppliers defined by you. If you have onsite service teams to change the consumables in the printers you can setup PSM to notify the service team responsible for the affected printer. You can also choose to track errors on the printers and setup a separate notifications. Additionally you can setup monthly reports on the page counts and consumable orders done by PSM.

Advantages of PSM

PSM is installed at the enduser company. An internet connection or special firewall/proxy Rules to the internet are not required. All outgoing communication is performed by email (reports, orders, notifications) and by SNMP (printer queries).

PSM can be controlled using a standard webbrowser. Pure html and some JAVA-script is used. This makes the GUI very efficient and fast.

PSM uses SNMP V2 for the printer queries. Special configuration on the printers are not required.

PSM is manufacturer independent. Consumable orders are working for all printers which are supporting the consumable queries according to RFC1759. This is usually the case if the printer is not older than 8 years.

PSM is Supplier independent. Orders can be routed to various suppliers individually.

PSM is developed in Switzerland. This guarantees optimized and fast Support.

Typical usage of PSM within automated Work flows

Security

PSM is installed at the Enduser Company. The Customer has the full Control over the System. He also has the choice, to select the Supplier he wants to work with. The only outgoing Communication takes place over Email. A direct Internet Connection is not required. This ensures maximum Security and Privacy.

Flexibility and Independence

Orders can be routed individually to different Suppliers per Device or Device Group. This applies for Error Messages and Counter Reports too. This ensures a maximum of Flexibility. An Onsite Stock of consumables is no longer needed. Consumables will be ordered by PSM early enough, to allow shipping before the Consumable becomes empty.

For Companies who still want to have a local Stock of consumable Parts, PSM has an optional Stock Administration. This covers the management of minimum Quantities, current Quantities, Order recommendations, Entries, and Printing of Shipping Lists.

Usage of PSM within existing Contracts with Service or Supply Partners

PSM is also a great Help for the usage within so called «all inclusive» Projects. These are Projects, where you get everything from one Partner: Supplies, Service, and Delivery of Devices.Since PSM can report the monthly usage of consumables as well as the Page Counters, both Models, a Volume based (Click) Model, or a Consumable Usage based Model are possible.

Open Communication and the use within ERP Systems

Since PSM is only sending Emails to external Destination, the Enduser always can see, what is sent. The Order Emails are structured Text Emails, which can be integrated by an automated ERP Process.
