Accessing Scores
Students have created or accessed College Board accounts
through English class – www.collegeboard.org
If students cannot remember their ID and Password:
Do not create a new account – this will result in having to call College
Board

and all personal emails
Use the “Forgot Password” link to reset password
Accessing Scores - Trouble Shooting
Student information in their College Board account needs to match
what was sent for registration by the district
If they receive a message that says they have more than one
account matching their information, they will need to call College
Board to have the accounts merged.

Test Scores and Cross-Test
scores let you know
performance about content
covered in each of the areas
tested.
Subscores let you know performance in skills tested.
What do my scores tell me?
How can I improve my skills?
Next Steps are based on test
scores, and the general skills
that similarly performing
students understand. You
can see which skills you
performed well on and
which ones you need to
improve on.
What can I learn from the questions?
Look at the types of questions I
answered incorrectly and
skipped:
Identify the level of difficulty.
How many questions did I miss at
each level?
Was I more likely to skip questions
associated with any subscore or
cross-test score?
What inferences can I make
about areas for improvement
based on the types of questions I
missed and skipped?
+ College Board research shows
that students who score a 3 or
higher on an AP Exam typically
experience greater academic
success in college and are more
likely to earn a college degree
on time than non-AP students.
+ Students do not have to show
AP Potential to take an AP
course; it just helps with
choosing courses by identifying
skills that need strengthening to
be successful in AP courses
What is my AP Potential?
