LPD uses a patented laser engine and a phosphor panel to create breathtakingly beautiful images with low-power, solid-state lasers. Fundamentally different than LED- and LCD-based technologies, LPD solutions offer brilliant image quality with canvas-wide uniformity, unmatched viewing angles, and the industry’s smallest environmental footprint. Why Laser Phosphor Display?

LASER ENGINE

A pattern of phosphors layered in a rigid glass or polymer structure. When excited by the laser engine, the panel emits red, green, or blue light to form image pixels. Since the phosphor is printed extremely close to its surface, the display is able to achieve the highest possible viewing angle of any commercially available display technology.

Mirrors direct the beams from the laser engine across the phosphor panel at a refresh rate of 360 Hz. This produces flicker-free images with no motion blur, even for fast-moving video.

Solid-state laser diodes generate modulated beams that energize the phosphor panel. Since the lasers are off for black pixels, very high contrast images are achieved at ultra-low power.
