‘Precision Second User’ was soon shortened to PSU with thecompany specialising in the repairand maintenance of servers andnetwork infrastructure from itssmall workshop in Gloucester.That company was taken over a few years later and during thelate eighties and nineties the newowners focussed on the PSUservice ethos and were successfulin being awarded contracts byorganisations such as BritishEnergy, Ford, the NHS andnumerous public sector bodies.The fact that many of thesecontracts are still held today istestimony to the fact that thecompany has continually proveditself as a ‘safe pair of hands’.In the late nineties, key industryfigures were recruited from thetelecommunications industry tocreate what is today the verysuccessful telecoms divisionsupplying and maintaining leadingedge telephone systems andassociated software and hardware.Following a management buy-out in 2003, the group has grownrapidly to now comprise severaldistinct but complementarydivisions. PSU Technology Groupcontinues to provide specialist ITsupport services and telephonesystems for businesses and
