Fluid economy is a measurement of diesel fuel plus liquid urea consumed. In recent independent testing by the Transportation Research Center, ProStar®+ with MaxxForce® 13 achieved up to 1–2.5% better fluid economy than two of its competitors. In a subsequent internal test using the same methodology, ProStar+ had a 0.8% advantage over Volvo VN780.

This self-diagnosing and self-monitoring system, which also features automated pre-trip vehicle inspections, allows drivers and technicians to accurately pinpoint electrical problems, for quicker troubleshooting and repairs.

ProStar+ features a Tilt-Away Bumper® and E-Z Tilt Hood for quick and easy maintenance.

A stored record of programmed electrical circuit confi guration, for future reference in troubleshooting of updating systems, prevents undue travel and labor costs when repairing vehicle.

Reliability and life expectancy are increased with low current components and long-life LEDs for gauge cluster warning lights and switch indicators, maximizing uptime.

Onboard diagnostics monitor electrical modules. Trouble codes are shown on the LCD display and stored in the system for quick troubleshooting and increased uptime. A full range of pre-programmable features, including pre-trip inspections (e.g., a light check function) that help drivers manage CSA 2010 regulations. Vehicle interlocks, which are operational limits and rules within the electrical system, can be set to avoid costly damage or injury to the vehicle, the equipment or the operator.
