Client: CNR Location: North Sea Equipment: New SCMs and OCH
CNR was unable to contract the OEM for controls to extend both templates to accommodate an additional well at each template. The OEM control module design was obsolete and no solution to add these wells was available without a full system replacement, which was not economically viable.
SolutionProserv provided a Brownfield Upgrade solution. By utilising the power conductors for both communications and power Proserv minimised any cross talk between the two systems. This approach provided the client with a cost effective solution that did not require full system replacement, did not impact on the day to day operation of the Toni Field, and provided the flexibility to continue to upgrade and add a further field into this controls infrastructure in the future.
Scope of workProserv upgraded the existing CNR subsea control system on the Toni Field using an Open Communications Hub (OCH) and two additional Subsea Control Modules (SCMs). The existing topology utilised separate communications and power, enabling Proserv to co-exist with the existing umbilical power cores and share these services with the incumbent system.

Our client launched a global initiative to address BOP downtime, as 70% attributed to BOP control system failures.
SolutionProserv introduced CLAMP (Closed Loop Asset Management Program) aimed at assisting all rig owners with a preventative, predictive and rapid response solution to address operational assurance which cost the client significant financial spend each year.
Scope of workProserv’s Gilmore Valve team in Houston completed the CLAMP inspection and repair process which consisted of DIFA reporting (disassembly, inspection and failure analysis).Our inspection results to the client detailed a program for repair and service. The restored components were then re-distributed to their various rigs across the Far East.

Client: A leading oilfield services company Location: Norway Equipment: Intelligent Well Control Panels
Proserv was awarded a contract for the supply of two remotely operated Intelligent Well Control Panels for platforms operated by an Operator in the North Sea.
SolutionProserv engineered hydraulically-controlled Intelligent Well Control Panels for interface with the client’s Well Completion system.The panels had the capability to control 20 wells, with each well able to control a 10-zoned completion with inflow control valve and choking capabilities, essential for optimising production levels.
Scope of workSpecialist engineering and project teams were assembled to ensure the delivery of this project.Whilst the contract was awarded to the team in Stavanger (Norway), the project was executed from Aberdeen (UK), with the panels manufactured and assembled in Dubai (UAE), then delivered to Stavanger for final testing.
